For the stars of the sky and its constellations will not give their light. The sun will be darkened in its going out, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.

The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes.

The earth quakes before them. The heavens tremble. The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.

The first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. One third of the earth was burned up, and one third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.The second angel sounded, and something like a great burning mountain was thrown into the sea. One third of the sea became blood,and one third of the living creatures which were in the sea died. One third of the ships were destroyed.The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from the sky, burning like a torch, and it fell on one third of the rivers, and on the springs of the waters.The name of the star is called“ Wormwood.” One third of the waters became wormwood. Many people died from the waters, because they were made bitter.The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars; so that one third of them would be darkened, and the day wouldn’t shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way.

The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.

It shall happen that in all the land,” says Yahweh,“ two parts in it will be cut off and die; but the third will be left in it.I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will test them like gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say,‘ It is my people;’ and they will say,‘ Yahweh is my God.’”

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.”Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days.They didn’t see one another, and nobody rose from his place for three days; but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.Pharaoh called to Moses, and said,“ Go, serve Yahweh. Only let your flocks and your herds stay behind. Let your little ones also go with you.”Moses said,“ You must also give into our hand sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.Our livestock also shall go with us. Not a hoof shall be left behind, for of it we must take to serve Yahweh our God; and we don’t know with what we must serve Yahweh, until we come there.”But Yahweh hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he wouldn’t let them go.Pharaoh said to him,“ Get away from me! Be careful to see my face no more; for in the day you see my face you shall die!”Moses said,“ You have spoken well. I will see your face again no more.”

I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became as blood.

even he whose coming is according to the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,and with all deception of wickedness for those who are being lost, because they didn’t receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie;that they all might be judged who didn’t believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of mankind.

But immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken;

When the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

There will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and on the earth anxiety of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the waves;

By these three plagues were one third of mankind killed: by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.

Then the moon will be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for Yahweh of Armies will reign on Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem; and glory will be before his elders.

The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire.People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.

I saw the earth, and, behold, it was waste and void, and the heavens, and they had no light.

When I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens and make its stars dark. I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon won’t give its light.I will make all the bright lights of the sky dark over you, and set darkness on your land,” says the Lord Yahweh.

It will happen in that day,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day.

in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.
