一老謂予曰：「毋哭也！彼猶太之獅、大維根株之萌蘖已戰勝一切、因得展其卷而啟其緘矣。」

吾儕因是愈益確信先知之言、爾等於此亦宜三致意焉。蓋先知之言、猶黑夜之明燈、所以待旭日之東升、與晨星之興於爾心也。

若望致書於亞西亞七教會曰：伏願古今未來永生天主、寶座前之七神、

『適生猶太人之王何在？吾儕既見其星於東方、特來朝拜。』

啟示者曰：「信哉、吾必速臨！」吾曰：「心所願也！主耶穌可以降矣！」

列祖其祖也、依血統而論、即基督亦彼之所出；然而基督者、固萬有共仰、萬世爭誦之造化主也。

耶穌基督之啟示、乃天主所授於基督、用示其諸僕以不久將臨之事、而由基督遣發天神曉諭厥僕若望。

凡有耳者、可以諦聽聖神對於教會之訓示矣。

天神告予曰：「凡茲所言皆真實無妄；乃眾先知之神靈所仰望之天主遣其天神、以不久將見之事、示其諸僕：

『爾於基督之觀念若何？彼其誰之子耶？』曰：『大維裔。』

且吾願以啟明之星賜於若人。凡有耳者可以諦聽聖神對諸教會之訓示矣。

聖子者、即吾主耶穌基督；以其人性論之、乃出於大維之苗裔；以其神性論之、則為天主聖子、威靈顯赫、其自死者中復活、實為明證。

天神復示我以活水之川、澄澈如水晶、自天主及羔羊寶座源源而來。

願凡有耳者、諦聽聖神對諸教會之訓示：凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、吾必賜以潛藏之瑪納、頒以白圭、上鐫新名、惟受者識之、非外人所得而知也。

耶穌基督、亞伯漢之後、大維之裔也、其譜系如后：

惡者篤於惡、邪者篤於邪、義者篤於義、聖者篤於聖。

夫大維既稱之為主、又安得為其裔乎？』眾不能答；自此不敢復詰。

願凡有耳者、諦聽聖神對諸教會之訓示：凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、則二次之死無得而害之。

希祿乃密召哲士、詳詢新星出現時日；遣其赴百利恆曰：『爾且往究嬰孩虛實、訪得回報、吾亦欲朝拜也。』哲士既聆王言、辭出、復睹東方所見之星飛空引導、至嬰孩降生之處乃止。哲士視星、歡欣雀躍。
