Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Outside the city are those who are impure. These people include those who practice witchcraft. Outside are also those who commit sexual sins and murder. Outside are those who worship statues of gods. And outside is everyone who loves and does what is false.

Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

Outside the city are the dogs— the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.

夫情慾之事、亦顯而易見也；凡姦非污濁、淫蕩奢侈、拜偶像、行巫術、仇恨爭競、好勝忿怒朋比釁隙、迷惑異端、嫉妒殘殺、沉醉荒宴等類皆是。吾夙已言之、今復鄭重相告、凡行此等事者、必不得承受天主之國也。

諸凡衣冠禽獸、為非作惡、甘自毀傷體膚之徒、望爾避之若浼。

一切不淨及邪妄之徒、莫得而入；惟錄名於羔羊之生命冊者得入焉。

寧不知為不義者必不得承天主之國乎？幸毋自欺！凡行淫亂、拜偶像、犯奸惡、為孌童、親男色、作盜賊、貪污、沉湎、謗人、勒索之徒、未有能承受天主之國者也。

而天主所以譴怒其悖逆之子者、正為此等事耳。

顧人類之未死於災者、亦復不改厥行、仍事諸魔、崇拜金、銀、銅、石、木所製、而不能視聽行動之偶像；若輩怙惡不悛、而殺人、巫蠱、奸淫、竊盜、依然如故。

故信之者不被譴、不信者譴在其中矣；以其不信天主惟一聖子之名也。夫真光入世、而世人以行為邪惡故、獨愛黑暗、而不愛光明；故曰譴在其中矣。蓋行為不正者、必惡真光、而莫敢與之近、惟恐其行為之見燭也。至踐履真道者、自與真光相親、所以彰其所行悉與天主相契合也。』

至於奸非浮穢貪婪之事、非聖徒所可道也。一切穢褻浪謔輕薄之詞、皆宜痛絕；惟宜謳歌主德、稱謝洪恩。幸毋自誤、應知凡奸非淫穢貪婪、莫非崇拜偶像之變相。犯此者必不得承嗣基督及天主之國也。勿為浮言所惑、蓋天主義怒之臨於悖逆諸子、正為此耳。

眾之所以嚮往至此者、蓋受其巫術之眩惑也久矣。

以種種邪法、熒惑自求淪喪之徒。所謂自求淪喪之徒者、即不知愛慕真理、以望得救者耳。既不愛慕真理、天主亦祇得聽其從妄信謊、於是凡不信真理而惟邪惡是好者、必至判罪而後已。

煜煜燈燭光、不復照此邑；無復新婚者、在此敘歡密；祇緣諸偉人、與爾相貿易；巫術惑元元、

經全島、抵帕弗、有猶太人巴也素者、能巫術、充先知、常與方伯士求保羅遊。士求保羅哲士也、召見巴拿巴、掃羅、欲聆天主之道。而以呂馬（譯言巫者）仇之、欲阻方伯信道。掃羅者葆樂也、充乎聖神、注目視之曰：『詭譎奸惡、備爾一身、魔鬼之子、百善之仇、混淆主之正道、伊于胡底！主今爾譴、暫且使爾失明、不見天日！』其目立盲、暗中摸索、乞為牽引。

爾中有能證予為邪妄者乎？予既以真理語爾、爾亦胡為不予信乎？

而本國之子民、轉見投於無明之絕域；將有痛哭切齒者焉。』
