吾又見已亡者、無大無小、肅立座前、案卷悉展、另有一卷亦展、即生命冊也。亡者皆各按其卷中所載之行實而處分焉。

And the nations were wroth, and thy wrath came, and the time of the dead to be judged, and the time to give their reward to thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to them that fear thy name, the small and the great; and to destroy them that destroy the earth.

who will render to every man according to his works:

Let them be blotted out of the book of life, And not be written with the righteous.

Yea, I beseech thee also, true yokefellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow- workers, whose names are in the book of life.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep.For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;

If thou sayest, Behold, we knew not this; Doth not he that weigheth the hearts consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his work?

Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

Marvel not at this: for the hour cometh, in which all that are in the tombs shall hear his voice,and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment.

having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there shall be a resurrection both of the just and unjust.

Wherefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each man have his praise from God.

Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me; I will render to the man according to his work.
