於是惑眾之妖魔乃被投入硫火池中、與獸及偽先知朝暮受刑、永世靡已。

凡懦怯無志、狐疑不信、放僻邪侈、殺人縱淫、妖術惑眾、崇拜偶像、荒誕無稽之徒、皆當投入硫火池中；是為二次之死。」

陰府及窅冥、均被擲於火池之中。火池者、即二次之死亡是已；凡不見錄於生命冊者、皆投入火池。

將飲天主罰杯中之真霹靂酒；且將於聖天神及羔羊之前受火與硫璜之苦刑；

爾時吾見一獸自海中出、十角七首、上有十冕、首上僭號無數。此獸望之若豹、其足若熊、其口若獅；龍以己之權位威力授之。吾見其一首似已中傷瀕死、後竟醫治獲愈；普世奇之、翕然風從。人見龍之以權授獸、故拜龍兼拜獸曰：「猗歟盛哉、獸之為德！舉世無雙、天下無敵！」獸且賦有口才、大言不慚、荒謬絕倫；秉權作孽四十有二月。開口謗讟天主、褻瀆聖名與閟帷、侮慢天上諸神諸聖。又受權與諸聖相戰而勝之、統治各族、各民、萬邦、重譯。舉世之人、凡厥名自創世以來未錄於被宰羔羊之生命冊者、咸將翕然、景仰此獸。

爾所見之十角亦十王也、至今未秉國鈞、後當與獸同享王權、亦只片晷。

則彼橫行不法者、行將猖獗。而主耶穌乃必以其所發之正氣、予以懲創、且藉己之昭臨、予以殲滅。惟大憝之暴興也、亦必恃沙殫之魔力、恣權行異、以種種邪法、熒惑自求淪喪之徒。所謂自求淪喪之徒者、即不知愛慕真理、以望得救者耳。既不愛慕真理、天主亦祇得聽其從妄信謊、

賢良蒙鍛鍊。所以玉其成。惟彼兇與暴。乃為主所憎。

乃見上述之獸、及世上諸王、率兵而集、欲與騎白馬者及其所率之軍作戰；

凡梟獍、巫覡、淫亂、兇暴、崇拜偶像、妖言惑眾者、皆當擯諸邑外。

無何、又見一獸出自地下、有二角如羊、而出言如龍；於海獸之前、操其大權、驅策全世居民、朝拜曩日受傷獲瘳之前獸。此獸多行奇跡、能於眾人之前、令火自空中而降。世人以其有權暢行異蹟於海獸之前、多受其熒惑。彼乃慫慂世人、為受傷獲瘳之獸製像、復能授氣於像、令獸像作人言有敢不拜獸像者、殺無赦。又令人民無貴賤貧富主僕、悉受印誌、或在右手或在額上。凡未印有獸名、或獸名之數者、均不得從事貿易。此中有真訣在焉：有知者、可一推算此獸之數、其數乃人之數、即六百六十有六也。

天神乃攝吾之神魂、入一曠野、見有一婦坐赤獸上；赤獸七首十角、渾身皆僭妄穢褻之名。婦人披紫着朱、飾金珠寶石、手執金樽、樽中滿貯淫亂眾穢、及無恥之事；額上題名曰：吾又見婦人已因暢飲眾聖及諸為耶穌致命者之血、而酩酊矣。吾對之不勝驚訝駭異之至。天神語予曰：胡驚異為？吾欲告爾以此婦及其所乘七首十角之獸之秘密。爾適所見之獸、一現即逝、又將起自深淵、終必淪胥以亡。舉世之人、凡其名自創世以來、未見錄於生命冊者、以其獸之一現即逝、而復勃興。咸將見而歎服。

吾見三邪神狀似蝦蟆、出自龍、獸、及假先知之口；邪神、即鬼魔之靈、能作祟、附於全世諸王、使於全能天主全盛之日、集中全力、而作最後之掙扎。主不云乎：
