乃見上述之獸、及世上諸王、率兵而集、欲與騎白馬者及其所率之軍作戰；

邪神、即鬼魔之靈、能作祟、附於全世諸王、使於全能天主全盛之日、集中全力、而作最後之掙扎。主不云乎：

世之百王與之共淫、而同享侈泰者、必將目擊其火焰、而號咷大哭；

爾所見之十角亦十王也、至今未秉國鈞、後當與獸同享王權、亦只片晷。十王惟具一心、欲將己之權柄統歸於獸、俾合力與羔羊交戰、而羔羊終必克之。羔羊乃萬主之主、萬王之王。凡蒙召承選、忠心耿耿、而與羔羊並肩作戰者、靡有不勝。

爾時吾見一獸自海中出、十角七首、上有十冕、首上僭號無數。此獸望之若豹、其足若熊、其口若獅；龍以己之權位威力授之。吾見其一首似已中傷瀕死、後竟醫治獲愈；普世奇之、翕然風從。人見龍之以權授獸、故拜龍兼拜獸曰：「猗歟盛哉、獸之為德！舉世無雙、天下無敵！」獸且賦有口才、大言不慚、荒謬絕倫；秉權作孽四十有二月。開口謗讟天主、褻瀆聖名與閟帷、侮慢天上諸神諸聖。又受權與諸聖相戰而勝之、統治各族、各民、萬邦、重譯。舉世之人、凡厥名自創世以來未錄於被宰羔羊之生命冊者、咸將翕然、景仰此獸。雖然有耳者、其聽旃！引人入甕者終必自入甕中；殺人以刀者、終必自傷刀下。諸聖之恆忍堅信、於是乎存。

更有一天神隨其後、大聲而言曰：「如有拜獸及獸像、而受印誌於額或手者。

爾時見天自闢、倏有一白馬、騎者名曰『真實無妄。』執法作戰、一秉正義；雙目炯炯如火光、首戴冠冕無數、所書名號、除自己外無識之者；身披濺血之袍人稱之曰『天主之道。』天上萬軍、悉騎白馬而隨之、衣純紵、白且潔。
