世之百王與之共淫、而同享侈泰者、必將目擊其火焰、而號咷大哭；

因為列國都喝了她猛烈淫亂之酒了；地上的君王同她行淫；由於她荒淫的資權、地上的商人都得了財富了。』

他們又說了第二次：『哈利路亞！燒她的煙直往上冒，世世代代、永不停息！』

看見她被焚燒的煙就喊着說：『哪一個城能比得過那大城呢？』

那時靠海的人君都必從寶座上下來，除去外袍，剝下刺繡的衣服，披上戰兢為服裝，坐在地上，息息發抖，因你而驚駭。他們必為了你而舉哀唱歌、而論到你說：「素被頌讚的城，堅牢鞏固於海上的啊，你和你的居民素來將你們之可怕加於海上一切居民的啊，你怎麼從海上滅沒而絕跡了呢！

他們受苦痛的煙往上冒、世世無窮；那些拜獸和獸像的、跟那受他名字的印記的、晝夜都得不着歇息。』

因巴比倫被奪取的響聲，地就震動；其哀呼聲在列國中都聽得到。』

天哪，聖眾使徒和神言人哪，因那城而歡躍吧！因為上帝已為你們伸雪而判罰她了。』

她榮耀自己、荒淫無度、多麼多，你們給她苦痛哀慟也要多麼多。因為她心裏說：『我坐着做皇后，我不是寡婦，決不會見哀慟』；

又看見遍地有硫磺、有鹽鹵、有火迹，沒有播種，沒有生產，連草都不長，好像所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁傾覆的景象，就是永恆主在怒氣怒火中所傾覆的，

以東的溪河必變為石油，她的塵土必變為硫磺，她的地必成為燒着的石油。晝夜總不熄滅，其煙氣永遠上騰；它必世世代代荒廢，永永久久無人經過。

『我帶你做俘虜於列國中，到你所不認識的列邦，那時我必使許多外族之民的心、因你而很難過。他當着他們面前向你掄刀時，便要使許多外族之民因你而驚駭，他們的君王必因你而大為震驚；當你仆倒的日子，他們各人都必為自己的性命而息息發顫。

巴比倫、列國中最華美的，迦勒底人所炫耀為最燦爛的，必像上帝之傾覆所多瑪和蛾摩拉一樣。

他使勁喊着，這樣說：「要伐倒這樹，要砍下它的枝子，搖掉它的葉子，拋散它的果子，使走獸離開樹下，使飛鳥躲開樹枝。

因為有一個焚燒處早已安排好了，居然又是為了君王而豫備的，又深又寬；它堆的是火跟許多木柴；永恆主的氣如一條硫磺火流，把它點𤏲起來。

就如上帝傾覆所多瑪蛾摩拉與其鄰近城市一樣，永恆主發神諭說，必沒有人住在那裏，也無人寄居於其中。

義人見有報復之前、就歡喜；他必在惡人的血中去洗腳。

你所看見的十個角就是十個王；他們還沒有得國，但必跟獸同得權柄、做王一個時辰。他們都有同一樣的心意、將自己的能力和權柄給予獸。

松樹啊，哀號哦！因為香柏樹倒下來了，壯麗的全毁啦！巴珊的橡樹啊，哀號哦！因為茂密樹林倒下來了！聽啊，有牧民者的哀號聲呢！因為他們的壯麗全毁啦！聽啊，有少壯獅子的吼叫聲呢！因為約但河旁的叢林全毁啦！

向所多瑪、蛾摩拉、那一片平原全地眺望觀看，哎呀，那地方的煙氣還往上冒，就像燒窰的煙氣一般。
