地上的君王、素來同她行淫、荒淫無度的、看見她被焚燒的煙，就必為她哭泣捶胸。

地上的眾君王，就是那些與她行淫亂、一同驕奢淫逸的，當看見焚燒她時的煙，就會為她捶胸哀哭。

世上諸王、素與行淫而奢華者、見所焚之煙、則為之哭而擗、

天下諸王、素與巴比倫行淫、專事華靡、見厥火炎炎、必哭之哀、

天下諸王、素與彼行淫、奢侈宴樂、見焚之之煙、必為之悲痛號泣、

世之百王與之共淫、而同享侈泰者、必將目擊其火焰、而號咷大哭；

地上的众王都跟她行过淫，住在地上的人也都喝她淫乱的酒醉了。”

因为各国都喝她淫乱烈怒的酒醉了；地上的君王与她行淫，世上的商人因她奢华挥霍就发了财。”

他们再一次说：“哈利路亚！烧淫妇的烟往上冒，直到永永远远！”

他们看见了焚烧她的烟，就喊叫说：‘有哪一座城能与这大城相比呢？’

那时所有沿海的君王都必由王座下来，除去朝服，脱下刺绣的衣服；披上战兢，坐在地上，不停发抖，因你而惊骇。他们必为你作一首哀歌说：你这著名的城，航海之人的居所，在海上坚固有力的啊！你和你的居民素来使惊恐临到所有住在那里的人身上，你怎么绝了迹呢？

他们受痛苦的烟往上冒，直到永永远远。那些拜兽和兽像的，以及接受它名字的记号的人，日夜得不到安息。”

因巴比伦陷落的响声，地就震动；列国都听见它的哀叫声。

天哪，你要因她欢喜！众圣徒、众使徒、众先知啊，你们也要因她欢喜！因为神已经在她身上为你们伸了冤。”

她怎样炫耀自己，怎样奢华挥霍，你们也要怎样给她痛苦悲哀。因为她心里常常说：‘我坐著作女王，我不是寡妇，决不会看见悲哀。’

又看见了遍地有硫磺，有盐卤，有火烧，没有播种，没有出产，寸草不生，好像耶和华在烈怒和怒火中毁灭的所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁一样，

以东的河水都要变成石油，它的尘土必变成硫磺，它的地土要变成烧着的石油，昼夜不熄，烟气永远上腾，并且必世世代代变为荒凉，永永远远无人经过。

我使你在列国中灭亡的消息，传到你所不认识的列邦的时候，我必使万族的心感到不安。我在他们面前向你挥动刀剑的时候，他们必因你惊骇，他们的君王也必因你非常恐慌；在你倾覆的日子，他们各人都必为自己的性命时刻战兢。

巴比伦本是列国中的华美，是迦勒底人引以为傲的荣耀，必像神倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉一样。

大声呼叫，这样说：你们要砍下这树，削断枝子，摇落叶子，打散果子，把树下的走兽赶散，把树枝上的飞鸟赶走。

因为陀斐特那烧着的火早已安排好了，是为君王预备的，又深又宽；其中所堆的，是火和许多的柴；耶和华的气像一股硫磺火，把它燃点起来。

就像神倾覆的所多玛、蛾摩拉，和它们邻近的城镇一样；必没有人住在那里，也必没有人在那里寄居。”这是耶和华的宣告。

义人看见仇敌遭报就欢喜；他要在恶人的血中洗自己的脚。

你看见的那十角，就是十王，他们还没有取得王权；但要跟兽一同得着权柄，作王一个时期。他们同心合意，把自己的权力权柄交给那兽。

松树啊！哀号吧，因为香柏树已经倒下，雄壮的树木都毁坏了；巴珊的橡树啊！哀号吧，因为茂密的树林被砍下来了。听牧人们哀号的声音，因为他们荣美的草场毁坏了；听少壮狮子吼叫的声音，因为约旦河边的丛林毁坏了。

向所多玛和蛾摩拉，以及平原全地观望。不料，看见那地有烟上升，好像烧窑的烟一样。
