他們因懼怕她所受的折磨，就遠遠地站著，說：「有禍了！有禍了！宏大的城，強大的巴比倫城啊！因為一時之間，你的審判就來到了！」

因其痛苦而懼、則遠立曰、禍哉、禍哉、大巴比倫鞏固之邑乎、半時間爾之鞫至矣、

懼害及身、遙立云巴比倫大邑、素稱鞏固、一時刑至、哀哉、

因懼其苦而遠立、云、廣大鞏固之邑巴比倫、頃刻間爾之刑至矣、哀哉、哀哉、

懼其禍之及身、乃遙立而言曰：「哀哉哀哉！大邑巴比倫也！巍巍王城胡為而至斯極耶！頃刻之間、爾竟遭受審判耶！」

Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry:“‘ Woe! Woe to you, great city, you mighty city of Babylon! In one hour your doom has come!’

They will be terrified by her suffering. They will stand far away from her. And they will cry out,“‘ How terrible! How terrible it is for you, great city! How terrible for you, mighty city of Babylon! In just one hour you have been destroyed!’

They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say,“ Alas! Alas! You great city, you mighty city, Babylon! For in a single hour your judgment has come.”

They will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will cry out,“ How terrible, how terrible for you, O Babylon, you great city! In a single moment God’s judgment came on you.”

They will stand far off in fear of her torment, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the mighty city! For in a single hour your judgment has come.

他们又把尘土撒在头上，哀伤哭泣，喊着说，“‘这大城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！所有经营航运的都因她的奢华而发了财，可是顷刻间她却沦为废墟了！’

所以在一天之内，她的灾祸，就是死亡、哀伤和饥荒要同时临到她身上。她要被火烧尽，因为审判她的主上帝能力伟大。

接着又一位天使说：“巴比伦大城倒塌了！倒塌了！她曾引诱万民喝她那淫乱的烈酒。”

“靠贩卖这些货物给她而致富的商人对她所受的灾祸充满恐惧，就站在远处为她哀伤哭号，说，‘身穿紫色和朱红色的细麻布衣服，以黄金、宝石、珍珠为装饰的大城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！因为顷刻间你这一切的繁华都化为乌有了。’所有船主、乘客、水手及靠海为生的人都远远地站着，

你看见的那十个角象征另外十个还没有得势的王，他们将取得王权和那怪兽一同统治短暂的一段时期。

看啊，战车和一对对的骑兵来了。”他又接着说：“巴比伦倾倒了！倾倒了！她所有的神像都被打碎在地上。”

因此，主——万军之上帝耶和华说：“哀号之声要响遍各广场，哭喊之声将充满大街小巷。农夫被叫来哭泣，哭丧者被召来哀号。

转瞬之间，巴比伦必毁灭。你们要为她哀悼，拿药为她止痛，或许可以治好她。寄居在巴比伦的人说，‘我们试过了，却没有治好。我们离开她，各自返回故乡吧！因为她罪恶滔天，必受审判。

唉！无比可怕的日子快来了，那将是雅各子孙的苦难之日，但他们必得拯救。”

太可怕了！耶和华的日子近了，那是全能者施行毁灭的日子。

他们四围的以色列人听到他们的喊叫声，纷纷逃跑，生怕自己也被吞下去。
