The LORD attacked the residents of Ashdod severely, bringing devastation on them. He struck the people of both Ashdod and the surrounding area with sores.

Immediately an angel of the Lord struck Herod down because he did not give the glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died.

The LORD will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, eczema, and scabies, all of which cannot be healed.

But at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus whose body was covered with sores,who longed to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. In addition, the dogs came and licked his sores.“ Now the poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried.

But after it had been moved the LORD attacked that city as well, causing a great deal of panic. He struck all the people of that city with sores.

After all this happened, the LORD afflicted him with an incurable intestinal disease.

And you will get a serious, chronic intestinal disease which will cause your intestines to come out.”

So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD, and he afflicted Job with a malignant ulcer from the sole of his feet to the top of his head.Job took a shard of broken pottery to scrape himself with while he was sitting among the ashes.

A putrid stench will replace the smell of spices, a rope will replace a belt, baldness will replace braided locks of hair, a sackcloth garment will replace a fine robe, and a prisoner’s brand will replace beauty.

He brought the east wind through the sky, and by his strength led forth the south wind.

So the one seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.
