厥罪滔天、天主未忘其所作之孽。

又一天神隨其後而言曰：「盛極一時之巴比倫、素以荒淫之酒鴆毒天下萬國者、已見傾覆、」更有一天神隨其後、大聲而言曰：「如有拜獸及獸像、而受印誌於額或手者。將飲天主罰杯中之真霹靂酒；且將於聖天神及羔羊之前受火與硫璜之苦刑；

大聲而呼曰：傾矣乎！傾矣乎！巍巍巴比倫！昔為大都邑、今成魑魅村；邪神聚幽藪、惡鳥集荒榛。
