人们被炙热灼伤，就亵渎掌管这些灾祸的上帝的名，他们毫无悔意，不肯归荣耀给上帝。

第一位天使离去，将碗倒在了地上，那些有怪兽的印记、敬拜兽像的人身上长出奇痛无比的毒疮。

又有重达三十四公斤的巨型冰雹从天而降，打在世人身上。世人无法忍受这极大的灾祸，就亵渎上帝。

就在那一刻，发生了强烈的地震，那座城的十分之一倒塌了，因地震死亡的共七千人，生还者都在恐惧中将荣耀归给天上的上帝。

我曾给她悔改的机会，她却不肯悔改、离弃自己的淫乱行为，

“我亚达薛西王降旨给河西所有的财政大臣，精通天上上帝律法的律法教师以斯拉祭司无论向你们要什么，都要速速办理，

要同伴祈求天上的上帝施怜悯，显明这奥秘，以免他们和其他巴比伦的智者一起被杀。这奥秘在夜间的异象中向但以理显明，他便颂赞天上的上帝，

“波斯王塞鲁士如此说，‘天上的上帝耶和华已把天下万国都赐给我，祂吩咐我在犹大的耶路撒冷为祂建造殿宇。你们当中凡属耶和华的子民，都可以去那里。愿你们的上帝耶和华与你们同在！’”

而恶人和骗子会变本加厉地迷惑人，也被人迷惑。

我一听见这消息，就坐下痛哭，悲伤了好几天。我在天上的上帝面前禁食祷告，说：

“王中之王亚达薛西降旨给精通天上上帝律法的教师以斯拉祭司，愿你平安！

“他们回答说，‘我们是天地之上帝的仆人，我们正在重建这座多年前由以色列的一位伟大君王建造的殿。但因为我们的祖先触怒了天上的上帝，上帝把他们交在迦勒底人——巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手中，他摧毁了这殿，把他们掳到巴比伦。

不论天上的上帝为祂的殿有何要求，都要认真办理，以免祂的烈怒临到王及众王子的国。

好让他们向天上的上帝献上蒙悦纳的祭物，并为王和众王子求寿。

你们要称谢天上的上帝，因为祂的慈爱永远长存。

王问我：“你有什么要求？”我向天上的上帝祷告后，

在以上列王统治的时候，天上的上帝必设立一国——永不灭亡、外族无法夺其政权。这国将击垮、消灭列国，并且永远长存。

约拿回答说：“我是希伯来人，我敬畏耶和华，祂是创造海洋陆地、掌管诸天的上帝。”
