乃拜以權予獸之龍、又拜獸曰、誰能比此獸、誰能與之交戰、

故拜龍兼拜獸曰：「猗歟盛哉、獸之為德！舉世無雙、天下無敵！」

People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked,“ Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?”

我所看見的這獸，彷彿一隻豹，牠的腳像熊的腳，口像獅子的口。龍把自己的能力、王位和大權交給了這獸。

他們看著焚燒她時的煙，呼喊說：「哪一個城能與這大城相比呢？」

牠在第一隻獸的面前，施行第一隻獸的一切權柄，強迫大地和住在地上的人來膜拜第一隻獸，就是致命傷得了痊癒的那獸。牠又行大奇蹟，甚至在眾人面前，使火從天降到地上。

牠又被准許把氣息給那獸像，甚至使那獸像能說話，又使所有不膜拜那獸像的人都被殺死。

隨後，天上出現了另一個徵兆：看哪，一條火紅色的巨龍，有七個頭和十隻角，七個頭上戴著七個王冠。

「這王任意而行，自高自大，高抬自己超過一切神明，並說荒謬的話來敵對萬神之神；他事事順利，直到憤怒的時期終結，因為那被註定的事必成就。他不顧祖先的神明，不顧女人們所愛慕的神明，也不顧任何其他的神明，因為他高抬自己超過一切。

可是，其餘沒有被這些災害所殺的人，還是不悔改離開自己手所做的，不停止拜鬼魔和那些金、銀、銅、石、木的偶像——它們既不能看、也不能聽、更不能走。

以色列眾人看見那人，就從他面前逃跑，極其害怕。

他們把自己的兒子和女兒祭獻給鬼魔；他們流無辜人的血，就是自己兒子和女兒的血，把他們祭獻給迦南的偶像，那地就被血玷汙了。

他們將要與羔羊交戰，而羔羊將勝過他們，因為他是萬主之主，萬王之王；與羔羊在一起的，是那些蒙召喚的、蒙揀選的、忠心的人。」

他反對一切被稱為神的，或受人敬拜的，他又高抬自己在這一切之上，甚至坐在神的聖所裡宣稱自己是神。

不，我是說，外邦人所獻的祭是獻給鬼魔的，不是獻給神的；而我不願意你們成為與鬼魔有份的人。你們不能既喝主的杯，又喝鬼魔的杯；不能既吃主的筵席，又吃鬼魔的筵席。難道我們要激起主的嫉恨嗎？難道我們比他更強嗎？

對於他們，這世代的神把這些不信之人的心眼弄瞎了，使他們不能洞察基督榮耀的福音之光。基督就是神的形像。
