他們拜巨龍，因為巨龍將自己的權力給了怪獸。他們又拜怪獸，說：「有誰比得上這獸呢？誰能與牠對抗呢？」

又拜龍、因以其權予獸、亦拜獸、曰、孰似獸哉、孰能與之戰哉、

人見龍以權賜獸、故拜龍亦拜獸、曰、誰堪與獸頡頏、與之角戰哉、

乃拜以權予獸之龍、又拜獸曰、誰能比此獸、誰能與之交戰、

故拜龍兼拜獸曰：「猗歟盛哉、獸之為德！舉世無雙、天下無敵！」

People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked,“ Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?”

牠看起來像豹，卻有熊的腳和獅子的口。巨龍將自己的能力、王位和大權柄都交給了怪獸。

看見燒她的煙，就說，『有哪一座城能與她相比呢？』

在頭一隻怪獸面前行使頭一隻怪獸的一切權柄。牠命令世上的人拜曾受了致命傷但已復原的頭一隻怪獸，又行大奇蹟，當眾叫火從天降到地上。

牠又獲准給怪獸的塑像生命氣息，使牠不但能說話，還能使所有不敬拜那像的人遭害。

這時天上出現了另一個奇異的景象：有一條紅色巨龍出現，牠有七頭十角，每個頭上都戴著冠冕。

「北方王必任意妄為，自高自大，自以為超越一切神明，肆意詆譭萬神之神。他必亨通，一直到上帝發烈怒的日子結束。因為所定的必然成就。他不尊崇他祖先的神明，也不尊崇婦女們愛慕的神明或其他任何神明，因為他自認為超越一切。

其餘沒有被這些災害所殺的人仍不肯悔改、停止手中的惡行，還是去拜魔鬼和那些用金、銀、銅、石、木所造，不能看、不能聽、不能行走的偶像。

耶和華啊，萬神之中，誰能像你？誰能像你——威嚴神聖，可頌可畏，廣行神蹟？

是長得高大威猛的亞衲人。你們瞭解他們，也聽人說過，『誰能抵擋亞衲人呢？』

以色列人一看見歌利亞都競相奔逃，極其害怕。

他們把自己的兒女當祭物獻給鬼魔，他們把自己的兒女獻給迦南的神像作祭物，流他們兒女無辜的血，玷污了那地方。

他們將與羔羊交戰，但羔羊必勝過他們，因為羔羊是萬主之主，萬王之王。那些跟隨羔羊的是被呼召、蒙揀選、忠心耿耿的人。」

他會抵擋主，高抬自己超過一切所謂的神明和人們崇拜的對象，甚至坐在上帝的殿中以上帝自居！

當然不是，我的意思是那些異教徒所獻的祭是祭鬼魔的，而不是獻給上帝的。我不願意你們與鬼魔有任何關係。你們不能又喝主的杯又喝鬼魔的杯，不能又吃主的聖餐又吃祭鬼魔的食物。我們想惹主嫉妒嗎？難道我們比祂更有能力嗎？

那些不信的人是被這世界的神弄瞎了心眼，以致看不見基督榮耀的福音之光。基督是上帝的本像。
