But of a truth I say unto you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when there came a great famine over all the land;

1 Kings 17 1
And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the sojourners of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As Jehovah, the God of Israel, liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

1 Samuel 4 8
Woe unto us! who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty gods? these are the gods that smote the Egyptians with all manner of plagues in the wilderness.

Exodus 7:17-25
Thus saith Jehovah, In this thou shalt know that I am Jehovah: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand upon the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood.And the fish that are in the river shall die, and the river shall become foul; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink water from the river.And Jehovah said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thy hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.And Moses and Aaron did so, as Jehovah commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.And the fish that were in the river died; and the river became foul, and the Egyptians could not drink water from the river; and the blood was throughout all the land of Egypt.And the magicians of Egypt did in like manner with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as Jehovah had spoken.And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he lay even this to heart.And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river.And seven days were fulfilled, after that Jehovah had smitten the river.

James 5:16-18
Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.Elijah was a man of like passions with us, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain; and it rained not on the earth for three years and six months.And he prayed again; and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Psalms 105:26-36
He sent Moses his servant, And Aaron whom he had chosen.They set among them his signs, And wonders in the land of Ham.He sent darkness, and made it dark; And they rebelled not against his words.He turned their waters into blood, And slew their fish.Their land swarmed with frogs In the chambers of their kings.He spake, and there came swarms of flies, And lice in all their borders.He gave them hail for rain, And flaming fire in their land.He smote their vines also and their fig- trees, And brake the trees of their borders.He spake, and the locust came, And the grasshopper, and that without number,And did eat up every herb in their land, And did eat up the fruit of their ground.He smote also all the first- born in their land, The chief of all their strength.

Ezekiel 7:1-12
Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto the land of Israel, An end: the end is come upon the four corners of the land.Now is the end upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations.And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity; but I will bring thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An evil, an only evil; behold, it cometh.An end is come, the end is come; it awaketh against thee; behold, it cometh.Thy doom is come unto thee, O inhabitant of the land: the time is come, the day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, upon the mountains.Now will I shortly pour out my wrath upon thee, and accomplish mine anger against thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations.And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will bring upon thee according to thy ways; and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, do smite.Behold, the day, behold, it cometh: thy doom is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness; none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth: neither shall there be eminency among them.The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
