I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I, John, am a believer like you. I am a friend who suffers like you. As members of Jesus’ royal family, we can put up with anything that happens to us. I was on the island of Patmos because I taught God’s word and what Jesus said.

I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

堅門徒心、勸之恆信、又言我儕欲入上帝國、必歷多難、

我以此告爾、欲爾以我而安、在世爾有患難、然爾無懼、我已勝世矣、

兄弟當忍、待主降臨、如地產嘉穀、農夫忍待、望秋霖春雨、爾亦當忍、堅爾心、主臨伊邇、

約翰書達亞西亞七會、願自昔及今永在之上帝、與座前、七神、

凡恆於為善、求尊榮無壞者、報以永生、爭鬥不順真理、而為不義者、報以赫怒、

願主迪爾心、使愛上帝、效基督恆忍、

不第此、所喜又在患難、蓋知患難生強忍、強忍生練達、練達生希望、

龍怒婦益甚、乃往與婦之苗裔戰、即守上帝命、從耶穌基督道者、

譬猶基督耶穌之勁卒、爾當勞苦、凡為卒者、不以世故憧擾、致悅募己者、力爭而不循矩矱、則不得冠冕之賞、農必先力穡、而後得物產、我所言、當思之、願主賜爾敏於庶事、當憶我所傳之福音、言大闢裔耶穌基督死而甦、為此、我受苦見繫、如犯法者、然上帝道、不可得而繫、我為選民忍難、使彼賴基督耶穌得救、永與厥榮、有一言可信者、若同死、必同生、若同忍難、必同乘權、我若拒主、主必拒我、
