So I made a vow in my anger,‘ They will never enter into the resting place I had set aside for them.’”

So I declared on oath in my anger,‘ They shall never enter my rest.’”

So when I was angry, I made a promise. I said,‘ They will never enjoy the rest I planned for them.’ ”

Therefore I swore in my wrath,“ They shall not enter my rest.”

So in my anger I took an oath:‘ They will never enter my place of rest.’”

So I swore in my anger,“ They will not enter my rest.”

Therefore I swore in My anger, They certainly shall not enter My rest.”

So I swore in My wrath,‘ They shall not enter My rest.’”

Wherefore I sware in my wrath, That they should not enter into my rest.

So I swore in My anger,“ They will not enter My rest.”

Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

Therefore I swore in my wrath,“ They won’t enter into my rest.”

For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said,“ As I swore in my anger,‘ They will never enter my rest!’” And yet God’s works were accomplished from the foundation of the world.

they will by no means see the land that I swore to their fathers, nor will any of them who despised me see it.

but to repeat the text cited earlier:“ They will never enter my rest!”

“ As I swore in my anger,‘ They will never enter my rest!’”

And to whom did he swear they would never enter into his rest, except those who were disobedient?

for you have not yet come to the final stop and inheritance the LORD your God is giving you.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

When the LORD heard you, he became angry and made this vow:“ Not a single person of this evil generation will see the good land that I promised to give to your ancestors!

Then I heard a voice from heaven say,“ Write this:‘ Blessed are the dead, those who die in the Lord from this moment on!’”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ so they can rest from their hard work, because their deeds will follow them.”

Say to them,‘ As I live, says the LORD, I will surely do to you just what you have spoken in my hearing.Your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness– all those of you who were numbered, according to your full number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against me.You will by no means enter into the land where I swore to settle you. The only exceptions are Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

The LORD said to his people:“ You are standing at the crossroads. So consider your path. Ask where the old, reliable paths are. Ask where the path is that leads to blessing and follow it. If you do, you will find rest for your souls.” But they said,“ We will not follow it!”

By the seventh day God finished the work that he had been doing, and he ceased on the seventh day all the work that he had been doing.God blessed the seventh day and made it holy because on it he ceased all the work that he had been doing in creation.

Do not let anyone accuse or contend against anyone else: for my case is against you priests!You stumble day and night, and the false prophets stumble with you; You have destroyed your own people!You have destroyed my people by failing to acknowledge me! Because you refuse to acknowledge me, I will reject you as my priests. Because you reject the law of your God, I will reject your descendants.The more the priests increased in numbers, the more they rebelled against me. They have turned their glorious calling into a shameful disgrace!They feed on the sin offerings of my people; their appetites long for their iniquity!I will deal with the people and priests together: I will punish them both for their ways, and I will repay them for their deeds.They will eat, but not be satisfied; they will engage in prostitution, but not increase in numbers; because they have abandoned the LORD by pursuing other gods.Old and new wine take away the understanding of my people.
