Therefore I swore in My anger, They certainly shall not enter My rest.”

故我怒而誓曰、彼必不得入我安息兮、

予怒而誓之、毋俾斯人、享余安息兮。

我遂震怒而誓曰、必不容其人享我安息、

吾憤乃誓。不令安寧。

So I declared on oath in my anger,‘ They shall never enter my rest.’”

So when I was angry, I made a promise. I said,‘ They will never enjoy the rest I planned for them.’ ”

Therefore I swore in my wrath,“ They shall not enter my rest.”

So in my anger I took an oath:‘ They will never enter my place of rest.’”

So I swore in my anger,“ They will not enter my rest.”

So I swore in My wrath,‘ They shall not enter My rest.’”

Wherefore I sware in my wrath, That they should not enter into my rest.

So I swore in My anger,“ They will not enter My rest.”

Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

So I made a vow in my anger,‘ They will never enter into the resting place I had set aside for them.’”

Therefore I swore in my wrath,“ They won’t enter into my rest.”

For we who have believed enter that rest, just as He has said,“ As I swore in My anger, They certainly shall not enter My rest,” although His works were finished from the foundation of the world.

shall by no means see the land which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who were disrespectful to Me see it.

and again in this passage,“ They certainly shall not enter My rest.”

As I swore in My anger,‘ They certainly shall not enter My rest.’ ”

And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient?

for you have not as yet come to the resting place and the inheritance which the Lord your God is giving you.

“ Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

“ Then the Lord heard the sound of your words, and He was angry and swore an oath, saying,‘ Not one of these men, this evil generation, shall see the good land which I swore to give your fathers,

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying,“ Write:‘ Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!’ ”“ Yes,” says the Spirit,“ so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.”

Say to them,‘ As I live,’ declares the Lord,‘ just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you;your dead bodies will fall in this wilderness, all your numbered men according to your complete number from twenty years old and upward, who have grumbled against Me.By no means will you come into the land where I swore to settle you, except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

This is what the Lord says:“ Stand by the ways and see and ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is, and walk in it; Then you will find a resting place for your souls. But they said,‘ We will not walk in it.’

By the seventh day God completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because on it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

Yet let no one find fault, and let no one rebuke; For your people are like those who contend with a priest.So you will stumble by day, And the prophet also will stumble with you by night; And I will destroy your mother.My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Since you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I also will forget your children.The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.They feed on the sin of My people, And long for their wrongdoing.And it will be, like people, like priest; So I will punish them for their ways And repay them for their deeds.They will eat, but not have enough; They will play the prostitute, but not increase, Because they gave up devoting themselves to the Lord.Infidelity, wine, and new wine take away the understanding.
