Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord, the one you teach from your law;

Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O Lord, and whom you teach out of your law,

Joyful are those you discipline, Lord, those you teach with your instructions.

LORD, how happy is anyone you discipline and teach from your law

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah, And teachest out of thy law;

Lord, happy is the man You discipline and teach from Your law

Blessed[ is] the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

Blessed is the man whom you discipline, Yah, and teach out of your law,

My child, do not despise discipline from the LORD, and do not loathe his rebuke.For the LORD disciplines those he loves, just as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights.

“ Therefore, blessed is the man whom God corrects, so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.

And have you forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons?“ My son, do not scorn the Lord’s discipline or give up when he corrects you.“ For the Lord disciplines the one he loves and chastises every son he accepts.”Endure your suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?But if you do not experience discipline, something all sons have shared in, then you are illegitimate and are not sons.Besides, we have experienced discipline from our earthly fathers and we respected them; shall we not submit ourselves all the more to the Father of spirits and receive life?For they disciplined us for a little while as seemed good to them, but he does so for our benefit, that we may share his holiness.Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness for those trained by it.

But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world.

It was good for me to suffer, so that I might learn your statutes.

Then he gives a revelation to people, and terrifies them with warnings,to turn a person from his sin, and to cover a person’s pride.He spares a person’s life from corruption, his very life from crossing over the river.Or a person is chastened by pain on his bed, and with the continual strife of his bones,so that his life loathes food, and his soul rejects appetizing fare.His flesh wastes away from sight, and his bones, which were not seen, are easily visible.He draws near to the place of corruption, and his life to the messengers of death.If there is an angel beside him, one mediator out of a thousand, to tell a person what constitutes his uprightness;and if God is gracious to him and says,‘ Spare him from going down to the place of corruption, I have found a ransom for him,’then his flesh is restored like a youth’s; he returns to the days of his youthful vigor.

All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!

Before I was afflicted I used to stray off, but now I keep your instructions.

Be keenly aware that just as a parent disciplines his child, the LORD your God disciplines you.

Listen! The LORD is calling to the city! It is wise to respect your authority, O LORD! Listen, O nation, and those assembled in the city!
