For you, Yahweh, have made me glad through your work. I will triumph in the works of your hands.

For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.

Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says,“ Behold, my servants will eat, but you will be hungry; behold, my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. Behold, my servants will rejoice, but you will be disappointed;Behold, my servants will sing for joy of heart, but you will cry for sorrow of heart, and will wail for anguish of spirit.

You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:

“ Rejoice over her, O heaven, you saints, apostles, and prophets; for God has judged your judgment on her.”

Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

“ Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her. Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her;that you may nurse and be satisfied at the comforting breasts; that you may drink deeply, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.”

For Yahweh says,“ Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout for the chief of the nations. Publish, praise, and say,‘ Yahweh, save your people, the remnant of Israel!’

Sing, daughter of Zion! Shout, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, daughter of Jerusalem.Yahweh has taken away your judgments. He has thrown out your enemy. The King of Israel, Yahweh, is among you. You will not be afraid of evil any more.In that day, it will be said to Jerusalem,“ Don’t be afraid, Zion. Don’t let your hands be weak.”

Let your work appear to your servants, your glory to their children.

Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness.They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness.

For Yahweh has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.They will come and sing in the height of Zion, and will flow to the goodness of Yahweh, to the grain, to the new wine, to the oil, and to the young of the flock and of the herd. Their soul will be as a watered garden. They will not sorrow any more at all.Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance; the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

Save us, Yahweh, our God, gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise!Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting! Let all the people say,“ Amen.” Praise Yah!

Yahweh has done great things for us, and we are glad.

I remember the days of old. I meditate on all your doings. I contemplate the work of your hands.

The righteous shall be glad in Yahweh, and shall take refuge in him. All the upright in heart shall praise him!

Let my meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in Yahweh.

Let Yahweh’s glory endure forever. Let Yahweh rejoice in his works.

to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.They will rebuild the old ruins. They will raise up the former devastated places. They will repair the ruined cities that have been devastated for many generations.Strangers will stand and feed your flocks. Foreigners will work your fields and your vineyards.But you will be called Yahweh’s priests. Men will call you the servants of our God. You will eat the wealth of the nations. You will boast in their glory.Instead of your shame you will have double. Instead of dishonor, they will rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they will possess double. Everlasting joy will be to them.“ For I, Yahweh, love justice. I hate robbery and iniquity. I will give them their reward in truth and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.Their offspring will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge them, that they are the offspring which Yahweh has blessed.”I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh! My soul will be joyful in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.For as the earth produces its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring up, so the Lord Yahweh will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.
