夜之驚駭、晝之飛矢、

夕有患難、晝有流矢、中宵遘疾疫、亭午逢喪敗、爾俱無所畏兮、

使爾不懼黑夜之震驚、白晝之飛箭、

夜間無有諸恐怖。白日無慮中飛箭。

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

You won’t have to be afraid of the terrors that come during the night. You won’t have to fear the arrows that come at you during the day.

You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day.

You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, Nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

You will not fear the terror of the night, the arrow that flies by day,

You need not fear the terrors of the night, the arrow that flies by day,

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.

He will rescue you from six calamities; no harm will touch you in seven.In famine he will redeem you from death, and in battle, from the power of the sword.You will be safe from slander and not fear destruction when it comes.You will laugh at destruction and hunger and not fear the land’s wild creatures.For you will have a covenant with the stones of the field, and the wild animals will be at peace with you.You will know that your tent is secure, and nothing will be missing when you inspect your home.You will also know that your offspring will be many and your descendants like the grass of the earth.You will approach the grave in full vigor, as a stack of sheaves is gathered in its season.We have investigated this, and it is true! Hear it and understand it for yourself.

Therefore, we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Then you will go safely on your way; your foot will not stumble.When you lie down, you will not be afraid; you will lie down, and your sleep will be pleasant.Don’t fear sudden danger or the ruin of the wicked when it comes,

I lie down and sleep; I wake again because the LORD sustains me.I will not be afraid of thousands of people who have taken their stand against me on every side.

He will not fear bad news; his heart is confident, trusting in the LORD.

The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom should I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— whom should I dread?When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell.Though an army deploys against me, my heart will not be afraid; though a war breaks out against me, I will still be confident.

The wicked flee when no one is pursuing them, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

Therefore we will not be afraid, though the earth trembles and the mountains topple into the depths of the seas,

He said to them,“ Why are you afraid, you of little faith?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

Among unsettling thoughts from visions in the night, when deep sleep comes over men,fear and trembling came over me and made all my bones shake.I felt a draft on my face, and the hair on my body stood up.

for the Lord had caused the Aramean camp to hear the sound of chariots, horses, and a large army. The Arameans had said to each other,“ The king of Israel must have hired the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Egypt to attack us.”

My heart staggers; horror terrifies me. He has turned my last glimmer of hope into sheer terror.

“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared— whose will they be?’

All of them are skilled with swords and trained in warfare. Each has his sword at his side to guard against the terror of the night.

But know this: If the homeowner had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into.

The murderer rises at dawn to kill the poor and needy, and by night he becomes a thief.The adulterer’s eye watches for twilight, thinking,“ No eye will see me,” and he covers his face.In the dark they break into houses; by day they lock themselves in, never experiencing the light.

He strung his bow and set me as the target for his arrow.He pierced my kidneys with shafts from his quiver.

Surely the arrows of the Almighty have pierced me; my spirit drinks their poison. God’s terrors are arrayed against me.
