I have sworn an oath to David, and in my holiness I cannot lie:

我一次指着自己的圣洁起誓：我决不向大卫说谎！

我仅此一次指着自己的神圣起誓，我绝不向大卫说谎！

我仅此一次指着自己的神圣起誓，我绝不向大卫说谎！

因我曾凭自己的圣洁向大卫起誓，我绝无谎言。

我断然指着自己的圣洁起誓，说：‘我决不向大卫说谎。

我曾指着我的圣洁起过一次誓，我绝不对大卫说谎。

我一次指着自己的聖潔起誓：我決不向大衛說謊！

我僅此一次指着自己的神聖起誓，我絕不向大衛說謊！

我僅此一次指着自己的神聖起誓，我絕不向大衛說謊！

因我曾憑自己的聖潔向大衛起誓，我絕無謊言。

我斷然指著自己的聖潔起誓，說：‘我決不向大衛說謊。

我儘一次地指着自己的至聖來起誓：我決不向大衛說謊。

我曾指著我的聖潔起過一次誓，我絕不對大衛說謊。

我指己聖而誓、一次而已、必不欺誑大衛兮、

余也至聖、指己而誓、必不欺大闢兮、

我乃至聖、既向大衛一次指己而誓、決無虛言、

盟約焉可廢。言出豈能更。

Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness— and I will not lie to David—

Once and for all, I have made a promise. It is based on my holiness. And I will not lie to David.

Once for all I have sworn by my holiness; I will not lie to David.

Once and for all I have sworn an oath by my holiness; I will not lie to David.

Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David.

Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David:

Once have I sworn by my holiness: I will not lie unto David:

Once and for all I have sworn an oath by My holiness; I will not lie to David.

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

Once and for all I have vowed by my own holiness, I will never deceive David.

Once I have sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David.

The Lord swore an oath to David with a promise he will never take back:“ I will place one of your descendants on your throne.

God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.

For example, there was God’s promise to Abraham. Since there was no one greater to swear by, God took an oath in his own name, saying:

This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God— who does not lie— promised them before the world began.

The Lord has taken an oath and will not break his vow:“ You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

The Sovereign Lord has sworn this by his holiness:“ The time will come when you will be led away with hooks in your noses. Every last one of you will be dragged away like a fish on a hook!

As for us, we can’t help but thank God for you, dear brothers and sisters loved by the Lord. We are always thankful that God chose you to be among the first to experience salvation— a salvation that came through the Spirit who makes you holy and through your belief in the truth.

Now the Lord has sworn this oath by his own name, the Pride of Israel:“ I will never forget the wicked things you have done!
