願主使彼如糠粃。隨風飄蕩無寧息。

As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,

For wickedness burns like a fire; It consumes briars and thorns; It also sets the thickets of the forest aflame And they roll upward in a column of smoke.

Like tangled thorns, And like those who are drunken with their drink, They are consumed Like stubble completely dried up.

Oh, that You would tear open the heavens and come down, That the mountains would quake at Your presence—As fire kindles brushwood, as fire causes water to boil— To make Your name known to Your adversaries, That the nations may tremble at Your presence!

You have conceived chaff, you will give birth to stubble; My breath will consume you like a fire.The peoples will be burned to lime, Like cut thorns which are burned in the fire.
