第我民不聽從我言、以色列人不肯歸順我、

我是雅瑋爾之主。攜爾脫離埃及地。但須爾張口。我必賜供飼。

“ But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me.

“ But my people wouldn’t listen to me. Israel wouldn’t obey me.

“ But my people did not listen to my voice; Israel would not submit to me.

“ But no, my people wouldn’t listen. Israel did not want me around.

“ But My people did not listen to My voice, And Israel did not obey Me.

“ But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me.

But my people hearkened not to my voice; And Israel would none of me.

“ But My people did not listen to Me; Israel did not obey Me.

But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.

But my people did not obey me; Israel did not submit to me.

But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.

When the people saw that Moses delayed in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said to him,“ Come, make gods for us who will go before us because this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt— we don’t know what has happened to him!”

You ignored the Rock who gave you birth; you forgot the God who gave birth to you.

However, I did give them this command:‘ Obey me, and then I will be your God, and you will be my people. Has a nation ever exchanged its gods?( But they were not gods!) Yet my people have exchanged their Glory for useless idols.Be appalled at this, heavens; be shocked and utterly desolated! This is the LORD’s declaration.For my people have committed a double evil: They have abandoned me, the fountain of living water, and dug cisterns for themselves— cracked cisterns that cannot hold water.

How much worse punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God, who has regarded as profane the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

But they refused to pay attention and turned a stubborn shoulder; they closed their ears so they could not hear.

Then they believed his promises and sang his praise.They soon forgot his works and would not wait for his counsel.
