He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children,

你們作父親的，不要惹兒女的氣，只要照着主的教訓和警戒養育他們。

也要殷勤教訓你的兒女。無論你坐在家裏，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論。

就是摩西在以色列人出埃及後所傳給他們的法度、律例、典章；

他去攻擊埃及地的時候，在約瑟中間立此為證。我在那裏聽見我所不明白的言語：

他將他的道指示雅各，將他的律例典章指示以色列。

人當以訓誨和法度為標準；他們所說的，若不與此相符，必不得見晨光。

是我們所聽見、所知道的，也是我們的祖宗告訴我們的。我們不將這些事向他們的子孫隱瞞，要將耶和華的美德和他的能力，並他奇妙的作為，述說給後代聽。

凡事大有好處：第一是神的聖言交託他們。

把法櫃安放在裏面，用幔子將櫃遮掩。

要將施恩座安在櫃的上邊，又將我所要賜給你的法版放在櫃裏。

只有活人，活人必稱謝你，像我今日稱謝你一樣。為父的，必使兒女知道你的誠實。

我眷顧他，為要叫他吩咐他的眾子和他的眷屬遵守我的道，秉公行義，使我所應許亞伯拉罕的話都成就了。」

也要教訓你們的兒女，無論坐在家裏，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論；

耶和華的律法全備，能甦醒人心；耶和華的法度確定，能使愚人有智慧。

我們既領受人的見證，神的見證更該領受了，因神的見證是為他兒子作的。信神兒子的，就有這見證在他心裏；不信神的，就是將神當作說謊的，因不信神為他兒子作的見證。這見證就是神賜給我們永生；這永生也是在他兒子裏面。人有了神的兒子就有生命，沒有神的兒子就沒有生命。

我因學你的法度，久已知道是你永遠立定的。

必將我所要賜給你的法版放在櫃裏。

又把法版放在櫃裏，把槓穿在櫃的兩旁，把施恩座安在櫃上。
