你们做父亲的，不要惹自己儿女生气，而要照着主的训练和警戒养育他们。

神出去对付埃及地的时候，在约瑟中设立了这法度。我听见了我不明白的话：

他向雅各宣告他的话语，向以色列宣告他的律例和法规。

当求问神的训诲和诫命！如果他们不按照这准则说话，他们就没有曙光。

就是我们所听过、所知道的，也是我们的祖先向我们讲述过的——我们不会向子孙隐瞒，而要向后代讲述对耶和华的赞美，讲述他的大能和他所行的奇妙作为。

在各方面都有很多。首要的，是神的话语确实委托给他们了。

唯独活人——活着的人才会称颂你，像我今天这样；作父亲的才会使儿女认识你的信实。

因为我拣选了他，是要他吩咐他的子孙和后代家族谨守我耶和华的道路，施行公义和公正；好让我耶和华对亚伯拉罕所说的都应验在他身上。”

耶和华的律法纯全，使人灵魂苏醒；耶和华的法度信实，使无知的人有智慧；

我们既然接受人的见证，神的见证就更应该接受了，因为这是神的见证，就是神为他的儿子所做的见证。那信神儿子的，就有这见证在他里面；那不信神的，就把神当做说谎者，因为他不相信神为自己的儿子所做的见证。这见证就是：神把永恒的生命赐给了我们，并且这生命在他儿子里面。那有了神儿子的，就有了这生命；那没有神儿子的，就没有这生命。

我很早以前就从你的法度中明白：你奠定了这法度，直到永远！
