We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.

我要提说耶和华的慈爱和对他的赞美，就是照着耶和华所赐给我们的一切，并他因怜悯和丰盛的慈爱所赐给以色列家的众多美福。他曾说：“他们真是我的子民，不背信的儿女。”于是他就成为他们的拯救者。他在他们的一切患难中也受患难，并且他面前的使者拯救了他们。他以自己的爱和怜恤救赎了他们，在古时所有的日子里举起他们、背负他们。然而他们悖逆，使他的圣灵忧伤；他就转成他们的仇敌，亲自与他们争战。那时，他想起古时的日子，就是摩西和他子民的日子：那把他们和他群羊的牧人们从海里带上来的，在哪里呢？那把他的圣灵降在他们当中的，在哪里呢？那让自己荣耀的膀臂在摩西右边作工，在他们面前把水分开，为自己成就永远之名的，在哪里呢？那领他们走过深渊的，在哪里呢？他们像旷野中的马没有绊跌；耶和华的灵使他们得享安息，好像牲畜下到山谷得享安息。你这样引领了你的子民，为自己成就荣耀之名。求你从天上垂看，从你圣洁、荣耀的崇高居所观看！你的热心和你的大能在哪里呢？你内心的激情和你的怜悯向我们止住了。即使亚伯拉罕不认识我们，以色列不承认我们，你还是我们的父。耶和华啊，你是我们的父！自古以来，你的名字就是“我们的救赎主”。耶和华啊，你为什么使我们离开你的道路迷失，使我们的心刚硬不敬畏你呢？求你为你的仆人们、你继业各支派的缘故，回心转意吧！你圣洁的子民短暂地拥有了你的圣所，我们的敌人就践踏了它。我们像是自古以来没有被你管辖过的人，又像是没有被称为你名下的人。

耶和华啊，你为什么站在远处，在灾难之时隐藏呢？恶人因着自高追逼困苦人，愿他们被自己谋划的诡计抓住！因为恶人以自己心中的欲望自夸；贪婪的人诅咒并藐视耶和华。恶人面带高傲，不寻求耶和华；他所有的心思中都没有神。他的道路时常亨通，然而你的审判在至高处，超过他的眼界；他对所有的敌人都嗤之以鼻。
