上帝歟、自幼訓我、我素宣爾奇行兮、上帝歟、我老年皓首時、勿遺棄我、俟我宣爾力於後世、述爾能於來者兮、

勤誨子女、坐於室、行於路、或寢或興、恆論乎此、

惟當自慎、謹守乃心、免忘爾目所見、畢生不去於懷、以之示爾子孫、

以為證於爾中、異日爾子孫問爾曰、此石何意、則曰、昔耶和華之約匱濟約但、水絕流於其前、此石永為以色列人之誌、

耶和華矜恤我儕、及以色列家、恩惠豐隆、我將宣揚其仁慈、而頌美之、蓋彼曰、斯乃我民、不行詐偽之子、故為其救主、民遭困苦、彼亦共之、使侍其前之使救之、加仁愛矜恤以贖之、在古昔時、扶翼之、懷抱之、惟民叛逆、使其聖神懷憂、故轉為讐、而自攻之、民乃憶及古昔、摩西與其眾民、曰、導民與民之牧、出自海中、賦以聖神者、安在哉、以其榮臂援摩西之右手、判海水於其前、丕顯其名、永世弗替、導民涉深淵、若馬行原野、不致顚躓、耶和華之神、使民綏安、若羣畜之息於陵谷、爾導民如是、以彰爾榮名、尚其自天垂顧、自聖且榮之所鑒觀、爾之熱衷大能、而今安在、爾之仁慈矜恤、靳不我施、爾乃我父、亞伯拉罕雖不我知、以色列亦不我識、爾耶和華為我之父、自古名為救贖我者、耶和華歟、何任我離爾道、剛愎厥心、不敬畏爾、緣爾僕爾所選之支派故、尚其復返、爾之聖民得業未久、我敵蹂躪聖所、我儕似未為爾所治、似未以爾名而稱者、

其時當告汝子云、是禮也、乃誌出埃及時、耶和華為我所行者、

謂以色列人曰、異日爾之子孫、問其祖父曰、此石何意、可告之曰、昔以色列人由陸地過約但、蓋爾上帝耶和華使約但水涸於爾前、以待爾濟、如昔使紅海涸於我前、以待我濟然、使地上億兆、皆知耶和華手有巨能、俾爾寅畏爾上帝耶和華、至於永世、

耶和華歟、何為遙立、當患難時、何為隱避、惡人驕肆、窘迫貧民、願其陷於己謀兮、惡者以心之欲為誇、貪者背棄耶和華、而侮慢之、惡者其容驕矜、謂耶和華必不究斥、意中絕無上帝兮、彼之所為、恆穩固兮、爾之讞典高遠、其目所不及、凡厥仇敵、悉為所叱兮、

揚聲稱謝、述爾奇妙之行兮、

如爾子孫問曰、行此禮曷故、

俾我揚爾聲譽、因爾救援、欣喜於郇女之門兮、

異日爾子若問爾曰、此何意也、則告之曰、耶和華以其手力、導我出埃及、脫於奴隸之室、

即哲人受於列祖、而不隱者也、
