余有言詞、告彼惡人、謂毋誕妄爾行、謂毋崢嶸爾角、

我告狂傲人曰、爾莫狂傲、告邪惡人曰、爾莫昂首、昂首原文作舉角

大地鼎沸。生靈塗炭。作之棟梁。以支危難。

To the arrogant I say,‘ Boast no more,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horns.

To the proud I say,‘ Don’t brag anymore.’ To sinners I say,‘ Don’t show off your power.

I say to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horn;

I say to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horn.

I said to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ And to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up the horn;

“ I said to the boastful,‘ Do not deal boastfully,’ And to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up the horn.

I said unto the arrogant, Deal not arrogantly; And to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

I say to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horn.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

I say to the proud,“ Do not be proud,” and to the wicked,“ Do not be so confident of victory!

I said to the arrogant,“ Don’t boast!” I said to the wicked,“ Don’t lift up the horn.

“ What are these men coming to do?” I asked. The angel replied,“ These four horns— these nations— scattered and humbled Judah. Now these blacksmiths have come to terrify those nations and throw them down and destroy them.”

“ How long will you hand down unjust decisions by favoring the wicked? Interlude“ Give justice to the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute.Rescue the poor and helpless; deliver them from the grasp of evil people.But these oppressors know nothing; they are so ignorant! They wander about in darkness, while the whole world is shaken to the core.I say,‘ You are gods; you are all children of the Most High.But you will die like mere mortals and fall like every other ruler.’”Rise up, O God, and judge the earth, for all the nations belong to you.

He has made his people strong, honoring his faithful ones— the people of Israel who are close to him. Praise the Lord!

I also asked about the ten horns on the fourth beast’s head and the little horn that came up afterward and destroyed three of the other horns. This horn had seemed greater than the others, and it had human eyes and a mouth that was boasting arrogantly.As I watched, this horn was waging war against God’s holy people and was defeating them,

“ How long, you simpletons, will you insist on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools hate knowledge?

You simple people, use good judgment. You foolish people, show some understanding.

Think again, you fools! When will you finally catch on?

Leave your simple ways behind, and begin to live; learn to use good judgment.”
