I say to the proud,“ Do not be proud,” and to the wicked,“ Do not be so confident of victory!

我警告狂妄人不要再狂傲，告诫恶人不要再张狂。

我对狂傲的人说：‘不要行事狂傲’；对邪恶的人说：‘不要举角，

我对夸耀的人说：‘不要夸耀！’又对恶人说：‘不要高举你们的角！

我對狂傲人說：不要行事狂傲！對凶惡人說：不要舉角！

我對狂傲的人說：「不要狂傲！」對兇惡的人說：「不要舉角！」

我對狂傲的人說：「不要狂傲！」對兇惡的人說：「不要舉角！」

我對誇耀的人說：『不要誇耀！』又對惡人說：『不要高舉你們的角！

我謂傲慢者曰、勿傲慢、謂奸惡者曰、勿昂角、

余有言詞、告彼惡人、謂毋誕妄爾行、謂毋崢嶸爾角、

我告狂傲人曰、爾莫狂傲、告邪惡人曰、爾莫昂首、昂首原文作舉角

大地鼎沸。生靈塗炭。作之棟梁。以支危難。

To the arrogant I say,‘ Boast no more,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horns.

To the proud I say,‘ Don’t brag anymore.’ To sinners I say,‘ Don’t show off your power.

I say to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horn;

“ I warned the proud,‘ Stop your boasting!’ I told the wicked,‘ Don’t raise your fists!

I say to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horn.

I said to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ And to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up the horn;

“ I said to the boastful,‘ Do not deal boastfully,’ And to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up the horn.

I said unto the arrogant, Deal not arrogantly; And to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

I say to the boastful,‘ Do not boast,’ and to the wicked,‘ Do not lift up your horn.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

I said to the arrogant,“ Don’t boast!” I said to the wicked,“ Don’t lift up the horn.

I asked,“ What are these going to do?” He answered,“ These horns are the ones that have scattered Judah so that there is no one to be seen. But the blacksmiths have come to terrify Judah’s enemies and cut off the horns of the nations that have thrust themselves against the land of Judah in order to scatter its people.”

He says,“ How long will you make unjust legal decisions and show favoritism to the wicked?( Selah)Defend the cause of the poor and the fatherless! Vindicate the oppressed and suffering!Rescue the poor and needy! Deliver them from the power of the wicked!They neither know nor understand. They stumble around in the dark, while all the foundations of the earth crumble.I thought,‘ You are gods; all of you are sons of the Most High.’Yet you will die like mortals; you will fall like all the other rulers.”Rise up, O God, and execute judgment on the earth! For you own all the nations.

He has made his people victorious, and given all his loyal followers reason to praise– the Israelites, the people who are close to him. Praise the LORD!

I also wanted to know the meaning of the ten horns on its head, and of that other horn which came up and before which three others fell. This was the horn that had eyes and a mouth speaking arrogant things, whose appearance was more formidable than the others.While I was watching, that horn began to wage war against the holy ones and was defeating them,

“ How long will you simpletons love naiveté? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?

You who are naive, discern wisdom! And you fools, understand discernment!

Take notice of this, you ignorant people! You fools, when will you ever understand?

Abandon your foolish ways so that you may live, and proceed in the way of understanding.”

For you give them splendor and strength. By your favor we are victorious.
