But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.

But I am close to you. And that’s good. Lord and King, I have made you my place of safety. I will talk about everything you have done.

But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus,by the fresh and living way that he inaugurated for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh,and since we have a great priest over the house of God,let us draw near with a sincere heart in the assurance that faith brings, because we have had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.

O LORD, my God, you have accomplished many things; you have done amazing things and carried out your purposes for us. No one can thwart you! I want to declare them and talk about them, but they are too numerous to recount!

Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double- minded.

How blessed is the one whom you choose, and allow to live in your palace courts. May we be satisfied with the good things of your house– your holy palace.

The LORD is good to those who trust in him, to the one who seeks him.It is good to wait patiently for deliverance from the LORD.

I will not die, but live, and I will proclaim what the LORD has done.

Certainly spending just one day in your temple courts is better than spending a thousand elsewhere. I would rather stand at the entrance to the temple of my God than live in the tents of the wicked.

Because Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, to bring you to God, by being put to death in the flesh but by being made alive in the spirit.

Let them present thank offerings, and loudly proclaim what he has done!

Rest once more, my soul, for the LORD has vindicated you.

But when he came to his senses he said,‘ How many of my father’s hired workers have food enough to spare, but here I am dying from hunger!I will get up and go to my father and say to him,“ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired workers.”’So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way from home his father saw him, and his heart went out to him; he ran and hugged his son and kissed him.

You want to humiliate the oppressed, even though the LORD is their shelter.

O God, you have taught me since I was young, and I am still declaring your amazing deeds.

All day long my tongue will also tell about your justice, for those who want to harm me will be embarrassed and ashamed.

Come! Listen, all you who are loyal to God! I will declare what he has done for me.
