Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.

神啊，我到年老发白的时候，求你不要离弃我！等我将你的能力指示下代，将你的大能指示后世的人。

上帝啊，我年老发白的时候，求你不要离弃我！等我宣扬你的能力给下一代，宣扬你的大能给后世的人。

上帝啊，就是我年老发白的时候，求你也不要丢弃我，好让我把你的大能告诉下一代，世代相传。

神啊！到我年老发白的时候，求你仍不要离弃我，等我把你的能力向下一代传扬，把你的大能向后世所有的人传扬。

神哪，纵然到我年老发白的时候，你也不要离弃我，直到我向这世代宣告你的能力，向后世所有的人宣告你的大能！

到我這年老髮白時候、上帝啊，不要離棄我，等我將你膀臂的作為向下一代宣說，將你的大能向一切將來的人講述。

神哪，縱然到我年老髮白的時候，你也不要離棄我，直到我向這世代宣告你的能力，向後世所有的人宣告你的大能！

上帝歟、我老年皓首時、勿遺棄我、俟我宣爾力於後世、述爾能於來者兮、

今我年邁、皓然白首、毋我遐棄、我將以爾能力、訓誨斯世、爰及後人兮、

我至年老髮白之時、求天主仍莫遐棄我、我將以主之大力、傳揚於來世、以主之大能、指示將生在世之人、

白髮莫相違。俾竟平生志。綦願將大德。宣示我後裔。

Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.

God, don’t leave me even when I’m old and have gray hair. Let me live to tell my children about your power. Let me tell all of them about your mighty acts.

So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.

Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.

Even while I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, while I proclaim your power to another generation, your strength to all who are to come.

And even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.

Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.

Even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me. Then I will proclaim Your power to another generation, Your strength to all who are to come.

Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto[ this] generation,[ and] thy power to every one[ that] is to come.

Even when I am old and gray, O God, do not abandon me, until I tell the next generation about your strength, and those coming after me about your power.

Yes, even when I am old and gray- haired, God, don’t forsake me, until I have declared your strength to the next generation, your might to everyone who is to come.

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; Do not forsake me when my strength fails.

Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.

We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall say to him,‘ By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.And it came to pass, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the Lord killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. Therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all males that open the womb, but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’It shall be as a sign on your hand and as frontlets between your eyes, for by strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt.”Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said,“ Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.”

One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord! Awake as in the ancient days, In the generations of old. Are You not the arm that cut Rahab apart, And wounded the serpent?

They will come and declare His righteousness to a people who will be born, That He has done this.

And you shall tell your son in that day, saying,‘ This is done because of what the Lord did for me when I came up from Egypt.’

Then it happened, when he made mention of the ark of God, that Eli fell off the seat backward by the side of the gate; and his neck was broken and he died, for the man was old and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.

That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children,

Eli was ninety-eight years old, and his eyes were so dim that he could not see.

Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

Therefore David blessed the Lord before all the assembly; and David said:“ Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever.Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all.“ Now therefore, our God, We thank You And praise Your glorious name.But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You.For we are aliens and pilgrims before You, As were all our fathers; Our days on earth are as a shadow, And without hope.“ O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have prepared to build You a house for Your holy name is from Your hand, and is all Your own.I know also, my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You.O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the intent of the thoughts of the heart of Your people, and fix their heart toward You.And give my son Solomon a loyal heart to keep Your commandments and Your testimonies and Your statutes, to do all these things, and to build the temple for which I have made provision.”Then David said to all the assembly,“ Now bless the Lord your God.” So all the assembly blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed their heads and prostrated themselves before the Lord and the king.And they made sacrifices to the Lord and offered burnt offerings to the Lord on the next day: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.So they ate and drank before the Lord with great gladness on that day. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him before the Lord to be the leader, and Zadok to be priest.Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.All the leaders and the mighty men, and also all the sons of King David, submitted themselves to King Solomon.So the Lord exalted Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.And the period that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years he reigned in Hebron, and thirty-three years he reigned in Jerusalem.So he died in a good old age, full of days and riches and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place.Now the acts of King David, first and last, indeed they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,with all his reign and his might, and the events that happened to him, to Israel, and to all the kingdoms of the lands.

“ For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption;

Now it came to pass, when Isaac was old and his eyes were so dim that he could not see, that he called Esau his older son and said to him,“ My son.” And he answered him,“ Here I am.”
