“ Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess.

And who is a rock, except our God?God is my strength and power, And He makes my way perfect.He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places.He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.“ You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your gentleness has made me great.You enlarged my path under me; So my feet did not slip.“ I have pursued my enemies and destroyed them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed.And I have destroyed them and wounded them, So that they could not rise; They have fallen under my feet.For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose against me.You have also given me the necks of my enemies, So that I destroyed those who hated me.They looked, but there was none to save; Even to the Lord, but He did not answer them.Then I beat them as fine as the dust of the earth; I trod them like dirt in the streets, And I spread them out.“ You have also delivered me from the strivings of my people; You have kept me as the head of the nations. A people I have not known shall serve me.The foreigners submit to me; As soon as they hear, they obey me.The foreigners fade away, And come frightened from their hideouts.“ The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let God be exalted, The Rock of my salvation!It is God who avenges me, And subdues the peoples under me;He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the Gentiles, And sing praises to Your name.“ He is the tower of salvation to His king, And shows mercy to His anointed, To David and his descendants forevermore.”

But David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them,“ As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my life from all adversity,

That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, And tell of all Your wondrous works.

Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul.

Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”Moreover David said,“ The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David,“ Go, and the Lord be with you!”

And he appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the Lord God of Israel:Asaph the chief, and next to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, and Obed-Edom: Jeiel with stringed instruments and harps, but Asaph made music with cymbals;Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests regularly blew the trumpets before the ark of the covenant of God.On that day David first delivered this psalm into the hand of Asaph and his brethren, to thank the Lord:Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,O seed of Israel His servant, You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.Remember His covenant forever, The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac,And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant,Saying,“ To you I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance,”When you were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it.When they went from one nation to another, And from one kingdom to another people,He permitted no man to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes,Saying,“ Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.”Sing to the Lord, all the earth; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised; He is also to be feared above all gods.For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the Lord made the heavens.Honor and majesty are before Him; Strength and gladness are in His place.Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, Give to the Lord glory and strength.Give to the Lord the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him. Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!Tremble before Him, all the earth. The world also is firmly established, It shall not be moved.Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; And let them say among the nations,“ The Lord reigns.”Let the sea roar, and all its fullness; Let the field rejoice, and all that is in it.Then the trees of the woods shall rejoice before the Lord, For He is coming to judge the earth.Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.And say,“ Save us, O God of our salvation; Gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles, To give thanks to Your holy name, To triumph in Your praise.”Blessed be the Lord God of Israel From everlasting to everlasting! And all the people said,“ Amen!” and praised the Lord.
