惟不欲因予之故兮。而貽恃主者以慚惶。更不欲因予之故兮。而致求主者之失望。

For I endure scorn for your sake, and shame covers my face.

Because of you, people laugh at me. My face is covered with shame.

For it is for your sake that I have borne reproach, that dishonor has covered my face.

For I endure insults for your sake; humiliation is written all over my face.

For I have endured insults because of you, and shame has covered my face.

Because for Your sake I have endured disgrace; Dishonor has covered my face.

Because for Your sake I have borne reproach; Shame has covered my face.

Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; Shame hath covered my face.

For I suffer humiliation for your sake and am thoroughly disgraced.

Yahweh, you know. Remember me, visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors. You are patient, so don’t take me away. Know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.

I gave my back to those who beat me, and my cheeks to those who plucked off the hair. I didn’t hide my face from shame and spitting.

Yes, for your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.

looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

He was despised and rejected by men, a man of suffering and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.

But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,“ He trusts in Yahweh. Let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”

The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying,“ He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!”The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar,and saying,“ If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!”

All day long my dishonor is before me, and shame covers my face,

But they will do all these things to you for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin.He who hates me, hates my Father also.If I hadn’t done among them the works which no one else did, they wouldn’t have had sin. But now they have seen and also hated both me and my Father.

They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him, and mocked him, saying,“ Hail, King of the Jews!”They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.

Herod with his soldiers humiliated him and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate.

Then there were two robbers crucified with him, one on his right hand and one on the left.Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads,and saying,“ You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”Likewise the chief priests also mocking, with the scribes, the Pharisees, and the elders, said,“ He saved others, but he can’t save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in him.He trusts in God. Let God deliver him now, if he wants him; for he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”The robbers also who were crucified with him cast on him the same reproach.

Then they spat in his face and beat him with their fists, and some slapped him,saying,“ Prophesy to us, you Christ! Who hit you?”
