彼眾遂執耶利米、囚於王子瑪基雅之井、在護軍院內、以繩縋之下、井無水而有泥、耶利米乃陷於泥中、時、王坐於便雅憫門、王宮宦豎、古實人以伯米勒、聞耶利米囚於井、則出王宮、告王曰、我主我王歟、彼眾於先知耶利米、所行皆惡、下之於井、邑中乏糧、恐其因饑而死焉、王命古實人以伯米勒曰、爾自此率三十人往、在先知耶利米未死之先、出之於井、以伯米勒遂率其人而往、入王宮、至庫下、取敝布及舊衣、以繩縋之於井、至耶利米所、古實人以伯米勒謂耶利米曰、以此敝布舊衣、置爾腋下、繫之以繩、耶利米依此而行、眾以繩曳之出井、耶利米則居於護軍之院、○

以憾恨之言環我、無端攻我兮、

我心渴想上帝、即維生之上帝、何時詣上帝前、而覲之兮、

勿容無理仇我者、向我誇口、無端憾我者、向我眨目兮、

波濤衝我、溪流淹我、狂瀾沒我兮、

我耐望耶和華、彼傾聽我呼籲兮、援我於陷阱、出我於淤泥、立我足於磐石、穩我步履兮、使我口謳新歌、頌我上帝、多人見之、寅畏而恃耶和華兮、

勿容大水沒我、深淵滅我、阱口封於我上兮、

耶和華歟、我自深阱呼籲爾名兮、

主耶和華歟、因爾名故、善待我、緣爾慈惠之美、拯救我兮、

其民憾之、遣使於其後、曰、我儕不欲斯人君我也、

垂顧我苦勞、赦宥我罪戾兮、鑒我仇敵、以其眾多、痛心銜憾兮、

至於我敵、不欲我君之者、曳之來、誅於我前、○
