God has countless chariots; they number in the thousands. The Lord comes from Sinai in holy splendor.

The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands; the Lord has come from Sinai into his sanctuary.

God has come with tens of thousands of his chariots. He has come with thousands and thousands of them. The Lord has come from Mount Sinai. He has entered his holy place.

The chariots of God are twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them; Sinai is now in the sanctuary.

Surrounded by unnumbered thousands of chariots, the Lord came from Mount Sinai into his sanctuary.

He said: The Lord came from Sinai and revealed himself to Israel from Seir. He appeared in splendor from Mount Paran, and came forth with ten thousand holy ones. With his right hand he gave a fiery law to them.

A river of fire was streaming forth and proceeding from his presence. Many thousands were ministering to him; Many tens of thousands stood ready to serve him. The court convened and the books were opened.

As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a fiery chariot pulled by fiery horses appeared. They went between Elijah and Elisha, and Elijah went up to heaven in a windstorm.

Or do you think that I cannot call on my Father, and that he would send me more than twelve legions of angels right now?

Then I looked, and I saw one wheel on the ground beside each of the four beings.The appearance of the wheels and their construction was like gleaming jasper, and all four wheels looked alike. Their structure was like a wheel within a wheel.When they moved they would go in any of the four directions they faced without turning as they moved.Their rims were high and awesome, and the rims of all four wheels were full of eyes all around.When the living beings moved, the wheels beside them moved; when the living beings rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up too.Wherever the spirit would go, they would go, and the wheels would rise up beside them because the spirit of the living being was in the wheel.When the living beings moved, the wheels moved, and when they stopped moving, the wheels stopped. When they rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up from the ground; the wheels rose up beside them because the spirit of the living being was in the wheel.Over the heads of the living beings was something like a platform, glittering awesomely like ice, stretched out over their heads.Under the platform their wings were stretched out, each toward the other. Each of the beings also had two wings covering its body.When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings– it was like the sound of rushing waters, or the voice of the Almighty, or the tumult of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.Then there was a voice from above the platform over their heads when they stood still.Above the platform over their heads was something like a sapphire shaped like a throne. High above on the throne was a form that appeared to be a man.I saw an amber glow like a fire enclosed all around from his waist up. From his waist down I saw something that looked like fire. There was a brilliant light around it,like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds after the rain. This was the appearance of the surrounding brilliant light; it looked like the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I threw myself face down, and I heard a voice speaking.

He mounted a winged angel and flew; he glided on the wings of the wind.

God said,“ Do not approach any closer! Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

Is the LORD mad at the rivers? Are you angry with the rivers? Are you enraged at the sea? Is this why you climb into your horse-drawn chariots, your victorious chariots?

Let the priests also, who approach the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break through against them.”Moses said to the LORD,“ The people are not able to come up to Mount Sinai, because you solemnly warned us,‘ Set boundaries for the mountain and set it apart.’”

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels in a circle around the throne, as well as the living creatures and the elders. Their number was ten thousand times ten thousand– thousands times thousands–

He replied,“ Don’t be afraid, for our side outnumbers them.”Then Elisha prayed,“ O LORD, open his eyes so he can see.” The LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw that the hill was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

The number of soldiers on horseback was two hundred million; I heard their number.
