願罪人從世上滅絕，也不再有惡人存在。我的心哪！你要稱頌耶和華。你們要讚美耶和華。

我確實知道耶和華是偉大的，我們的主超越萬神之上。在天上，在地上，在海中，在一切深處，耶和華喜歡甚麼，就作甚麼。

“‘我要在我子民以色列中彰顯我的聖名，我必不再讓我的聖名被褻瀆；這樣，列國就知道我是耶和華，是以色列中的聖者。

你們要住手，要知道我是神；我要在列國中被尊崇，我要在全地上被尊崇。萬軍之耶和華與我們同在；雅各的神是我們的保障。（細拉）

耶和華的怒氣向以色列人發作，使他們在曠野飄流了四十年，等到在耶和華眼前行惡的那一代都滅盡了。

我必顯為大、顯為聖，在列國的人眼前顯現自己。這樣，他們就知道我是耶和華。’”

現在，耶和華我們的神啊，求你從他的手中把我們拯救出來，地上萬國就可以知道只有你耶和華才是神。”

自從我們離開加低斯．巴尼亞，直到過了撒烈溪的日子，共有三十八年，等到那世代的戰士都從營中滅絕為止，正像耶和華向他們所起的誓一樣。耶和華的手攻擊了他們，把他們從營中除滅，直到滅盡為止。“所有戰士都從民中死盡以後，

今天耶和華要把你交在我手裡，我必擊殺你，砍下你的頭。今天我還要把非利士人軍隊的屍體給空中的飛鳥和地上的野獸吃。這樣，全地的人就都知道以色列中有一位神。也使這些人群都知道，耶和華拯救人不是靠刀，不是靠槍，因為戰爭的勝敗在於耶和華，他必把你們交在我們的手裡。”

你必被趕逐，離開人群，和野地的走獸同住；你必像牛一樣吃草，被天露滴濕，要經過七年的時期；等到你承認至高者在世人的國中掌權，他喜歡把國賜給誰，就賜給誰。

不要殺害他們，免得我的人民忘記了；主啊！你是我們的盾牌，求你用你的能力，使他們飄流無定，並且降為卑微。

到了獻晚祭的時候，以利亞先知近前來，說：“亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的神耶和華，求你今天使人知道你是在以色列中的神，我是你的僕人，又是奉你的命令行這一切事。耶和華啊，求你應允我，應允我！使這民知道你耶和華是神，又知道是你使這民的心再回轉過來的。”

照著你們窺探那地的日數共四十天，一天算一年，你們要擔當罪孽四十年，你們就知道我為甚麼與你們作對。’我耶和華已經說了，我必要這樣對待這聚集反抗我的惡會眾；他們要在這曠野滅盡，在這裡死亡。”

耶和華你的神必把這些國的民，從你面前漸漸趕出去；你不可以把他們迅速地滅盡，恐怕田間的野獸多起來害你。耶和華你的神必把他們交在你面前，使他們大起擾亂，直到他們全被消滅。

因為造你的，就是你的丈夫；萬軍之耶和華是他的名；救贖你的，就是以色列的聖者；他被稱為全地的神。
