惟彼殺人行詐者、天主乎、必使之墮落陷阱、不容其享半世之年、惟我永久仰賴天主、

一切委主手。必釋爾重負。善人為主棄。從來未曾有。

陰間和死亡填不滿，人的眼目永不滿足。

陰間和冥府在耶和華面前尚且無法隱藏，何況世人的心思呢！

不要過分邪惡，也不要做愚人，何必時候未到就死呢？

押尼珥回到希伯崙的時候，約押就把他帶到城門的甕洞，裝作與他密談，乘機用短劍刺入他的肚子，把他殺死了，為他兄弟亞撒黑報了仇。

刹那間，荊棘還沒有把鍋燒熱的工夫，上帝必除滅他們。

他們的嘴巴充滿罪惡，口中盡是咒詛和謊言，願他們陷在狂傲中不能自拔。求你發烈怒毀滅他們，徹底剷除他們，使普天下都知道上帝在雅各家掌權。（細拉）

「我出賣了清白無辜的人，我犯罪了！」他們說：「那是你自己的事，跟我們有什麼關係？」猶大把錢扔在聖殿裡，出去上吊自盡了。
