“看啊，这就是不依靠上帝的人，他只倚仗自己的财富和以残暴手段获得的权势。”

“看哪！这就是那不以神为自己保障的人，他只倚靠自己丰盛的财富，以毁灭别人来加强自己的力量。”

“看哪，这个人不把神当作自己的保障，他依靠自己丰盛的财富，靠自己的奸恶得胜。”

說：看哪，這就是那不以神為他力量的人，只倚仗他豐富的財物，在邪惡上堅立自己。

曰、試觀斯人、不以上帝為力、惟恃多財、以惡自固兮、

曰、彼其之子、輕上帝之能力、恃一己之貨財、強悍作惡兮、

誰知天網恢恢兮。將滅爾以終古。逐爾於家室之外兮。除爾於永生之圃。

以法蓮猶如商賈、手持不公之權衡、樂行欺詐、以法蓮自謂我已富有、已獲貨財、凡我由勤勞所得者、人必不見我有不義、不義原文作愆尤有獲罪之處、

主如是云、凡人心棄我、我原文作主倚恃人、倚恃肉體者、倚恃肉體者原文作以肉體為其臂者斯人有禍、

主使之立於滑地、使之陷於沈淪、頃刻毀滅、驚駭消亡、歸於無有、主興起、輕視其浮華、如人睡醒、藐視幻夢、

無人能主生氣、使生氣永留、或作無人有權能止風使風不吹無權可施於死日、此戰場、無人得免、人之強暴、亦難救人解脫、

耶穌冠棘冠、衣紫袍而出、彼拉多謂眾曰、試觀此人、

彼倚賴金寶、矜誇多財、人實不能贖己之兄弟、亦不能為彼奉贖金於天主、贖其生命、價值昂貴、永不得成、不能使之永久存活、不見朽壞、賢者必死、愚者昧者、亦必滅亡、將貨財留於他人、此乃常見之事、其心中以為家必永存、房宅必留至萬代、聲名必傳在世間、豈知人在榮華、不能永久、無異滅亡之畜類、此乃彼之愚昧道途、後世之人、仍以其言為然、細拉、彼如群羊、驅入示阿勒、示阿勒見六篇五節小註為死亡所牧、清晨必歸正直人管轄、必從己之居處降於示阿勒、形容必毀壞其中、惟天主必救贖我靈魂、脫離示阿勒之權、將我接取、細拉、人縱多財、家貲豐厚、爾莫畏懼、因其死後分毫不能攜取、其榮華不能隨之而下、彼生存時、自誇有福、以為自奉甚厚、必受人誇美、然必仍歸其祖宗之處、永不見光、人在榮華中、若不省悟、即與將死亡之畜類無異、

當諭此世之富者、心勿驕傲、勿恃無定之財、惟恃永生天主、厚賜我眾百物以享之、

世間人無論尊卑、皆屬虛妄、若置之權衡、必然浮起、悉輕於虛空、悉輕於虛空或作比呼吸之氣尤輕勒索之貨不可倚賴、劫奪之財不可妄恃、貨財雖然加多、莫以為念、

見爾者必細觀爾、注目視爾曰、震動天下、驚擾列國、使世界荒涼、傾毀城邑、不釋俘囚返故土者、非斯人乎、

身體肥胖、目突高視、其所得者過於所欲、侮慢人以兇惡之言、議論凌虐之事、言語盡由狂傲而出、肆口謗毀天主、縱舌評論世人、因此其民亦歸於此、盈滿之水、遂而吸盡、曰、天主有何分曉、至上之主有何見識、

爾曹休倚君王、休賴世人、彼皆不能施救、其氣一斷、即歸塵埃、其計謀即日泯滅、蒙雅各之天主扶助、仰望主其天主者、斯人便為有福、

何曾以金為望、何曾云精金為我所恃、何曾以貨財之豐、所獲者之多為樂、
