For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give[ it]: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

求我恩主。寬免罪刑。有生之日。宣揚洪恩。

You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.

You don’t take delight in sacrifice. If you did, I would bring it. You don’t take pleasure in burnt offerings.

For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.

You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one. You do not want a burnt offering.

Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:In burnt offerings and[ sacrifices] for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

The sacrifice of the wicked[ is] an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright[ is] his delight.

To what purpose[ is] the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with;[ it is] iniquity, even the solemn meeting.Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear[ them].And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden[ part] thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

The sacrifice of the wicked[ is] abomination: how much more,[ when] he bringeth it with a wicked mind?

And Samuel said, Hath the LORD[ as great] delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey[ is] better than sacrifice,[ and] to hearken than the fat of rams.

I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept[ them]: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings,[ to have been] continually before me.

But the soul that doeth[ ought] presumptuously,[ whether he be] born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity[ shall be] upon him.

Moreover ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which[ is] guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.

And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.

But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.

Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

If a man be found lying with a woman married to an husband, then they shall both of them die,[ both] the man that lay with the woman, and the woman: so shalt thou put away evil from Israel.
