The heavens announce that what God decides is right. That’s because he is a God of justice.

for true and just are his judgments. He has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted the earth by her adulteries. He has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”

Lord my God, if I have done this and there is guilt on my hands—if I have repaid my ally with evil or without cause have robbed my foe—then let my enemy pursue and overtake me; let him trample my life to the ground and make me sleep in the dust.

The Lord is known by his acts of justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say:“ You are just in these judgments, O Holy One, you who are and who were;for they have shed the blood of your holy people and your prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve.”And I heard the altar respond:“ Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are your judgments.”

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.

Far be it from you to do such a thing— to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.

For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.It is written:“‘ As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,‘ every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.
