Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion in the far north, The city of the great King.

Listen, Shepherd of Israel, Who leads Joseph like a flock; You who are enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth!

God comes from Teman, And the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His splendor covers the heavens, And the earth is full of His praise.His radiance is like the sunlight; He has rays flashing from His hand, And the hiding of His might is there.

All who pass along the way Clap their hands in ridicule at you; They hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city of which they said,‘ Perfect in beauty, A joy to all the earth’?”

And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Lord, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth!

But the Lord is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him.”

For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns us from heaven.And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying,“ Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.”
