山上之飛翮。野中之毛族。宇宙與萬物。何者非吾屬。

I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine.

And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.And God created the great sea- monsters, and every living creature that moveth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good.And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.

Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they?

Consider the ravens, that they sow not, neither reap; which have no store- chamber nor barn; and God feedeth them: of how much more value are ye than the birds!

If I cause evil beasts to pass through the land, and they ravage it, and it be made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the beasts;though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only should be delivered, but the land should be desolate.

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father:but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Is it by thy wisdom that the hawk soareth, And stretcheth her wings toward the south?Is it at thy command that the eagle mounteth up, And maketh her nest on high?On the cliff she dwelleth, and maketh her home, Upon the point of the cliff, and the stronghold.From thence she spieth out the prey; Her eyes behold it afar off.Her young ones also suck up blood: And where the slain are, there is she.

The wings of the ostrich wave proudly; But are they the pinions and plumage of love?For she leaveth her eggs on the earth, And warmeth them in the dust,And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, Or that the wild beast may trample them.She dealeth hardly with her young ones, as if they were not hers: Though her labor be in vain, she is without fear;Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, Neither hath he imparted to her understanding.What time she lifteth up herself on high, She scorneth the horse and his rider.

By them the birds of the heavens have their habitation; They sing among the branches.

All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

He giveth to the beast his food, And to the young ravens which cry.

Who provideth for the raven his prey, When his young ones cry unto God, And wander for lack of food?
