And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

After this, I heard what sounded like a vast crowd in heaven shouting,“ Praise the Lord! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.His judgments are true and just. He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the murder of his servants.”And again their voices rang out:“ Praise the Lord! The smoke from that city ascends forever and ever!”Then the twenty four elders and the four living beings fell down and worshiped God, who was sitting on the throne. They cried out,“ Amen! Praise the Lord!”And from the throne came a voice that said,“ Praise our God, all his servants, all who fear him, from the least to the greatest.”Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder:“ Praise the Lord! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.

But let the godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy.

But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout,“ The Lord is great!”

That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,“ No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

Rejoice over her fate, O heaven and people of God and apostles and prophets! For at last God has judged her for your sakes.

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Submit to God’s royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities— for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!

Rejoice, O people of Zion! Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey— riding on a donkey’s colt.

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ My servants will eat, but you will starve. My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. My servants will rejoice, but you will be sad and ashamed.My servants will sing for joy, but you will cry in sorrow and despair.Your name will be a curse word among my people, for the Sovereign Lord will destroy you and will call his true servants by another name.All who invoke a blessing or take an oath will do so by the God of truth. For I will put aside my anger and forget the evil of earlier days.

as the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?

The descendants of those who obey him will inherit the land, and those who love him will live there in safety.Please, God, rescue me! Come quickly, Lord, and help me.May those who try to kill me be humiliated and put to shame. May those who take delight in my trouble be turned back in disgrace.Let them be horrified by their shame, for they said,“ Aha! We’ve got him now!”But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout,“ God is great!”

The godly will rejoice when they see injustice avenged. They will wash their feet in the blood of the wicked.

Come, everyone! Clap your hands! Shout to God with joyful praise!For the Lord Most High is awesome. He is the great King of all the earth.He subdues the nations before us, putting our enemies beneath our feet.He chose the Promised Land as our inheritance, the proud possession of Jacob’s descendants, whom he loves. InterludeGod has ascended with a mighty shout. The Lord has ascended with trumpets blaring.

The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!

But give great joy to those who came to my defense. Let them continually say,“ Great is the Lord, who delights in blessing his servant with peace!”

“ Lord, may all your enemies die like Sisera! But may those who love you rise like the sun in all its power!” Then there was peace in the land for forty years.

Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him?
