That he might live on eternally, That he might not undergo decay.

以致可以永远活着，不进坟墓。

使他永远活着，不见朽坏。

好使他永久存活，不看到阴坑。

以致可以永遠活著，不進墳墓。

使他永遠活著，不見朽壞。

好使他永久存活，不看到陰坑。

不能壽世而體不朽兮、

不能使之永久存活、不見朽壞、

生命無價寶。非財所能市。

so that they should live on forever and not see decay.

No one can pay enough to live forever and not rot in the grave.

that he should live on forever and never see the pit.

so that he may live forever and not see the Pit.

That he should continue to live eternally, And not see the Pit.

That he should still live alway, That he should not see corruption.

so that he may live forever and not see the Pit.

That he should still live for ever,[ and] not see corruption.

What man can live and not see death? Can he save his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah

For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; You will not allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.

All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, All those who go down to the dust will kneel before Him, Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath, But righteousness rescues from death.

No one has authority over the wind to restrain the wind, nor authority over the day of death; and there is no military discharge in the time of war, and evil will not save those who practice it.

Now it happened that the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s arms; and the rich man also died and was buried.And in Hades he raised his eyes, being in torment, and* saw Abraham far away and Lazarus in his arms.

Therefore, He also says in another Psalm:‘ You will not allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.’For David, after he had served God’s purpose in his own generation, fell asleep, and was buried among his fathers and underwent decay;but He whom God raised did not undergo decay.

For You will not abandon my soul to Hades, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.

that God has fulfilled this promise to those of us who are the descendants by raising Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm:‘ You are My Son; today I have fathered You.’

“ Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?

he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh suffer decay.

Ill gotten gains do not benefit, But righteousness rescues from death.

Truly, truly I say to you, if anyone follows My word, he will never see death.”The Jews said to Him,“ Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets as well; and yet You say,‘ If anyone follows My word, he will never taste of death.’
