豈知人在榮華、不能永久、無異滅亡之畜類、

意謂基業固。第宅保萬世。孳孳求田舍。瑣瑣標名字。

People, despite their wealth, do not endure; they are like the beasts that perish.

Even though people may be very rich, they don’t live on and on. They are like the animals. They die.

Man in his pomp will not remain; he is like the beasts that perish.

but their fame will not last. They will die, just like animals.

But despite his assets, mankind will not last; he is like the animals that perish.

But man in his splendor will not endure; He is like the animals that perish.

Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not remain; He is like the beasts that perish.

But man being in honor abideth not: He is like the beasts that perish.

but, despite their wealth, people do not last, they are like animals that perish.

But man, despite his riches, doesn’t endure. He is like the animals that perish.

I said to myself,“ This happens concerning people, so that God may test them and they may see for themselves that they are like animals.”For the fate of people and the fate of animals is the same. As one dies, so dies the other; they all have the same breath. People have no advantage over animals since everything is futile.All are going to the same place; all come from dust, and all return to dust.Who knows if the spirit of people rises upward and the spirit of animals goes downward to the earth?

A man with valuable possessions but without understanding is like the animals that perish.

You, indeed, have made my days short in length, and my life span as nothing in Your sight. Yes, every mortal man is only a vapor. Selah

However, you will die like men and fall like any other ruler.”

For All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of the grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,

For man certainly does not know his time: like fish caught in a cruel net or like birds caught in a trap, so people are trapped in an evil time as it suddenly falls on them.

but the one who is rich should boast in his humiliation because he will pass away like a flower of the field.For the sun rises with its scorching heat and dries up the grass; its flower falls off, and its beautiful appearance is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will wither away while pursuing his activities.
