其得斯土、非恃己刃、其得拯救、非賴己臂、乃賴爾之右手與臂、乃爾容光、以爾悅之兮、

斯民得土、不恃戈兵、不藉人力、乃爾巨力大能、眷顧而祐之兮。

我列祖非仗兵刃得地、亦非恃己之勇力得勝、乃賴主之右手、主之聖臂、主面上之榮光、因蒙主喜悅、

親手逐諸夷。吾族蒙建立。諸夷皆衰落。吾族獨發達。

It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them.

They didn’t win the land with their swords. They didn’t gain success by their own power. Your powerful right hand and your mighty arm gave them victory. You gave them success because you loved them.

They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.

And not only this, but when Rebecca also had conceived by one man, even by our father Isaac( for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls),it was said to her,“ The older shall serve the younger.”As it is written,“ Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated.”What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not!For He says to Moses,“ I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”

Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You From those who rise up against them.

Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.

There are many who say,“ Who will show us any good?” Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.

For the Lord will not forsake His people, for His great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you His people.

So he answered and said to me:“ This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:‘ Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.

If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us,‘ a land which flows with milk and honey.’

You have with Your arm redeemed Your people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

Who led them by the right hand of Moses, With His glorious arm, Dividing the water before them To make for Himself an everlasting name,

“ I have loved you,” says the Lord.“ Yet you say,‘ In what way have You loved us?’ Was not Esau Jacob’s brother?” Says the Lord.“ Yet Jacob I have loved;But Esau I have hated, And laid waste his mountains and his heritage For the jackals of the wilderness.”

It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish at the rebuke of Your countenance.
