上帝歟、尚其為我折中、辨屈於不虔之國、援我於詭譎不義之人兮、

民俱不仁、詭譎殘賊兮、予望上帝、伸我冤而援手兮、

求天主在不仁不義之民中、為我伸冤、拯救我脫離奸詐邪惡之人、

何群逆之詭譎兮。惟殘害之為務。求主一測予之中情兮。吾固不與彼同度。主其伸予之冤兮。辨予之誣。

Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked.

My God, when you hand down your decision, let it be in my favor. Stand up for me against an unfaithful nation. Save me from those lying and sinful people.

Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me!

Declare me innocent, O God! Defend me against these ungodly people. Rescue me from these unjust liars.

Contend, Yahweh, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.

Vindicate me, Yahweh my God, according to your righteousness. Don’t let them gloat over me.

Yahweh administers judgment to the peoples. Judge me, Yahweh, according to my righteousness, and to my integrity that is in me.

You will destroy those who speak lies. Yahweh abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

Someone told David, saying,“ Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” David said,“ Yahweh, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”

for their Defender is strong. He will plead their case against you.

But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another.

for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them.

I will bear the indignation of Yahweh, because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my case, and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light. I will see his righteousness.

Rescue me, my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.

For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord.

When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give your counsel what we shall do.”Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ Go in to your father’s concubines that he has left to keep the house. Then all Israel will hear that you are abhorred by your father. Then the hands of all who are with you will be strong.”So they spread a tent for Absalom on the top of the house, and Absalom went in to his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.The counsel of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if a man inquired at the inner sanctuary of God. All the counsel of Ahithophel both was like this with David and with Absalom.Moreover Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ Let me now choose twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David tonight.I will come on him while he is weary and exhausted, and will make him afraid. All the people who are with him will flee. I will strike the king only,and I will bring back all the people to you. The man whom you seek is as if all returned. All the people shall be in peace.”The saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.
