願其遭報應。身受所作孽。自陷羅網中。葬身所掘窟。

may ruin overtake them by surprise— may the net they hid entangle them, may they fall into the pit, to their ruin.

So let them be destroyed without warning. Let the trap they set for me catch them. Let them fall into the pit and be destroyed.

Let destruction come upon him when he does not know it! And let the net that he hid ensnare him; let him fall into it— to his destruction!

人自謂平康安固、而禍突至、猶妊婦劬勞、其人不得免、

維彼惡人、掘坎阱以陷余、設羅網以罹余、爾其拯余兮、願彼惡人、所設之網、反以自罹、而我得脫兮。

故必遭患難、昧於所從、不能自脫、災害忽臨、難以逆料。

自當謹慎、勿以饜飫沉湎、世之憧擾累心、恐其日突然臨爾、

上帝射之、忽被傷殘、

王命既行、怒始息、昔哈曼立木、欲懸木底改、今反以自懸焉。

掃羅忌大闢、自謂與其戮之由於己手、寧藉手於非利士人以害之。故謂之曰、爾當為豪傑、緣耶和華而戰、我必以長女米臘妻爾。

斯世之人、遍施網罟、我心忡忡、彼掘坎阱、自陷其中。

屢受譴責、仍強厥項、必致敗亡、援手無人。

維彼惡人、自取其戾、陷於罪愆、

亞希多弗見所議不從則備驢反故邑、歸私第、以事囑其家人、自縊而死、葬於祖墓。

非利士人追襲掃羅、殺其三子、約拿單、亞庇拿撻、麥基舒亞。掃羅戰敗、矢人射之、身負重傷、謂持兵之士曰、汝其拔刃刺我、恐未受割者刺我、加以狎侮。持兵之士懼甚、不敢奉命、掃羅觸刃而死。

彼掘坎阱兮、自陷其中、所謀不軌兮自取戾、所為不順兮、喪其元、

約押曰、我不可遲延。遂執三戈、見押沙龍懸於橡中、氣猶未絕、則剸其腹。約押持兵之少者十人、環攻押沙龍而殺之。

乘其困乏喪膽、我必涖臨、使彼戰慄、侍從必遁、我擊其王。爾所欲害之人、既已被擊、所遺民眾、率之歸爾、俾其安處。押沙龍及以色列族長老、咸以其言為善。

時、賣師猶大見耶穌定罪、則悔、反其金三十、與祭司諸長長老曰、我賣無辜者之血、有罪矣、僉曰、於我何與、爾自當之、猶大擲金於殿、退而自縊、

異邦人、設坎阱以自陷兮、藏罟網、自繞其足兮、

維彼惡人、雨置諸險滑之途、擲諸死亡之地兮、猝然喪敗、殲滅殆盡、主勃然而興、如夢警醒、藐視其浮華兮。
