當人們正在說一切平安穩妥的時候，災禍會像產痛臨到孕婦一樣突然臨到他們，令他們無法逃脫。

求你不要使我落入惡人設下的網羅，不要掉進他們的陷阱。願他們作繭自縛，而我可以安然逃脫。

你必大禍臨頭，不知如何祛災避禍。災禍必落在你身上，無可挽回。你意想不到的禍患必突然來到。

「你們要小心，不要被宴樂、醉酒和人生的掛慮所拖累，免得那日子像網羅般突然臨到你們，

約押說：「我不跟你浪費時間。」趁著押沙龍還吊在橡樹上，他拿起三杆矛槍剌入了他的心臟。十個為約押拿兵器的年輕人圍上去將押沙龍殺死。

趁他疲憊無力的時候襲擊他，使他驚慌失措，他的部下必逃命。我只把王一個人殺掉，把他的部下全都帶來歸順你。你尋索的人既然死了，跟隨他的人必然會歸順你。這樣，大家就平安無事了。」押沙龍和以色列的長老都贊成這個提議。

出賣耶穌的猶大看見耶穌被定了罪，感到很後悔，就把那三十塊銀子還給祭司長和長老，說：「我出賣了清白無辜的人，我犯罪了！」他們說：「那是你自己的事，跟我們有什麼關係？」猶大把錢扔在聖殿裡，出去上吊自盡了。

列邦挖了陷阱卻自陷其中，設下網羅卻纏住自己的腳。

你把他們放在容易滑倒的地方，使他們落入毀滅中。他們頃刻間被毀滅，在恐怖中徹底滅亡。他們不過是人醒來後的一場夢。主啊，你一行動，他們必灰飛煙滅。
